This was, by far, the worst hotel of my trip. First let's cover the good: the location is hard to beat. However, there are many other hotels in the area and you should stay at literally any of them.
So what was so bad? Comfort, mostly. I went into my room and my skin felt like it was on fire. The thermostat helpfully told me it was 31.2 degrees C (88 F). This was in April, mind you. Okay, so I tried to turn on the AC. Wasn't working. The check in person told me, when I asked how to get the AC going, that it was turned off. It's April you see, so the building is set to heat only. What should I do about my pizza oven of a room? Open the window and enjoy the horrible air pollution and noise. Great.
So if you always dreamed of a hotel where you can't get any sleep because it's either boiling hot or incredibly loud, Kukdo has you covered. The bed sucks, though to be fair, it's not as bad as most Korean beds. Shower was old and had terrible pressure. They do not have laundry, nor do they have the concierge service the website claims they have. Any issues you have are met with a shrug, no one's interested in helping.
Terrible, terrible place.
