Old Square Senj apartment: the authentic atmosphere of the old coastal town.

We extend a warm welcome to you to a place where Mediterranean charm blends with exquisite details and genuine hospitality. Located in the heart of Senj’s Old Town, just a few minutes’ walk from the sea, Old Square Senj Boutique offers a unique stay designed for guests who appreciate comfort, authenticity, and the relaxing atmosphere of this historic coastal town. Guests can unwind on the private terrace, enjoy a wide selection of coffee and tea, and discover culinary delights at nearby restaurants. To make your stay truly special, we’ve prepared a complimentary welcome pack featuring local products, including seasonal fruit, select coffee and tea, our own honey, and specialities made with sea salt and products inspired by aromatic herbs from the Adriatic coast. We’d also like to note that our guests can enjoy our private aromatherapy room, designed for relaxation. The room features aromatherapy amenities, including high-quality essential oils for use in a diffuser, oils for aromatic massage, a comfortable bed, extra towels, and soft ambient lighting, as well as a yoga mat, a Pilates ball, wooden tools for massaging feet and palms, and pillows filled with buckwheat hulls. We’ll provide you with a fragrant atmosphere, ideal for unwinding after a day at the beach, a trip, or exploring the fascinating surroundings of our old town.
I hold a Master’s degree in Radiological Technology and work at a clinical hospital centre. In my free time, I practice beekeeping, apitherapy, and phytotherapy, and I am a family aromatherapist. I also enjoy outdoor sports, especially walking. Apartment Old Square Senj is no ordinary apartment. It has been in the family for over 50 years and is located in one of the very first houses built in the city of Senj—predating even the town’s famous landmark, the Nehaj Fortress. We have renovated it with care and respect for its history. We hope you feel welcome here and are able to fully relax.
Apartment Old Square is located in the immediate vicinity of several historical landmarks: Nehaj Fortress (the city’s symbol), the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Catacombs, the remains of the city walls and towers, the Great Gate (City Gate), Vukasović Palace, the Church of St. Mary of Art, the Church of St. Francis, the monument to the Senj Uskoks, the newly renovated Park of Senj Writers, and the old town centre with its narrow stone streets. The atmosphere of summer evenings in Senj is enhanced by numerous events, such as the summer masquerade ball, a local produce fair, and “Fishermen’s Evenings.” Many small restaurants offer excellent food; the closest to the Old Square Senj apartment is Restaurant Lavlji Dvor, which shares its inner courtyard—known as “Lavlji Dvor” (featuring twelve stone lion heads, each with a unique facial expression)—with our apartment. The site is a protected cultural monument in Croatia.
