"Villa veery well equipped, apart from sunbeds which are showing signs of wear and tear. Initial access quite hard to find. Beds very comfortable with ceiling fans and air conditioning. Pool very clean., with stunning views over the sea! Car essential. Host's agent onsite was very helpful."
Private beachfront villa in traditional village setting
10/10 Excellent
"The villa at Skaloma is an unforgettable property and its owner and managers are tremendous people! Six of us stayed on the second leg of our Greece vacation. We were looking for a small village experience on water, and that’s exactly what we got. Communication with Alex, Kostas, and Zeta was prompt and easy. Kostas and Zeta are perfect hosts - from the very helpful and informative emails prior to our arrival to the personal greeting and introductory tour of the villa upon our arrival - which was much later than we anticipated. A lovely welcome gift awaited us and a very special bakery delivery by Kostas and Zeta arrived a few days later. The property itself is remarkable offering every amenity you could need in a beautiful authentic Greek home. We were very comfortable and made ourselves at home. It was SO clean too!The beach! Ohhhh, the beach. Literal steps from the front door. Crystal clear water on the Gulf of Corinth with a backdrop of hills and clear blue skies. It was a dream to kayak in the morning and walk the quiet street for a light snack and a beverage. We were greeted each day by the very sweet and gentle neighborhood dog whom we named “Dusty”. I believe he loved us as much as we loved him.The breeze through the MANY windows was delightful and the covered porches were the perfect places to have our morning coffee and relax. Our ONLY regret was leaving. Kostas and Zeta were there to send us off with a hug and kiss. Parting is such sorrow."
"(Please note that this is one Villa split into two with a shared pool and outdoor areas)Dimos is an excellent host and couldn't do more for us on our stay. The Villa is fully equipped with everything you need for your stay and caters for all your needs. We were welcomed with a fresh fruit & veg bowl on arrival and we're told to help ourselves to any of the fruit and veg that grows around the villa. Dimos gives a very thorough introduction on arrival and explains the ins and outs of the Villa. The pool and the views from the villa are amazing and the local supermarket and Bakery is a ten minute drive into town."
"The locality of this property is amazing. Stunning views, calm and peaceful. Our hosts (the owners), Julia and Spiros were delightful. They live at the property but are independent of all areas that are part of the rental. The house and pool were spotless. Amazing terraces with fantastic views out to sea. The surrounding area was not crowded or touristy but with plenty of places to eat excellent fish and great food. Julia and Spiros use the company Your Rentals to market their property and we were far from impressed with their communication. YourRentals are listed as the hosts at the time of booking (through Vrbo). They took payment for our booking. However they did not reply to emails or messages as we tried to confirm check in details and directions (amongst other errors on their part). It caused us quite some anxiety trying to communicate with them. We were initially confused as the marketing also states that the owners are not always at the property whereas they actually are. It made no difference to us as they are so discrete. It should be noted that the property has a very steep spiral staircase to the 2 upstairs bedrooms and bathroom, and might prove difficult for someone with limited mobility or those staying with young children owing to the height. The (excellent) washing machine is located in the upstairs bathroom. I will award 5 stars for the actual owners / hosts but most definitely not YourRentals."
