My wife called the hotel to tell them that we reserved for 2 nights (3/15-3/17) but will only use the 2nd night. She told the hotel that we are aware that we reserved thru expedia, but since we were unable to connect to Expedia even after numerous attempts, we were willing to pay for both nights even though we’re only staying on the 2nd night. We are doing this just so the hotel will not cancel our reservation. The person my wife spoke with stated that she will put a note in their system regarding this, assured us that our reservation is not canceled, and gave my wife the hotel’s confirmation number. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that our reservation was a “no show”, that there’s no note anywhere in the system that we’re arriving one day late. We even showed the confirmation number given to us but we were told it’s not in their system. We were then charged for a new reservation for our 1-night stay, which was more than what we paid for thru Expedia.
