"This hotel is 10/10 the staff the room the restaurant and especially the spa were amazing! we had a very easy check in and our bags bought up to our room. I had notified the hotel it was my boyfriends birthday so we received 3 birthday cards in total from the main hotel W restaurant staff and the spa. We had a lovely relaxing two days stay and will definitely be coming back. Would also like to mention the guest relations manager think his name was Craig but he was amazing and very accommodating when I had a few queries on my bill when checking out."

"Breakfast felt rushed, I would have liked more time after my cereal before the cooked breakfast arrived, even when I asked the waitress was back after a few minutes asking if I was ready to order. This was midweek and there wasn't many guests. When more did arrive for the weekend, it was all a bit too frantic and didn't leave a relaxing breakfast experience. The room was small but clean and the bed very comfy and we were supplied with a bottle of water as well as the usual hot drink facilities."

"The reception staff were so friendly and always happy to help. Lovely to have access to a small spa after a day of walking, nice hydrotherapy pool, sauna and steam room. Good range of drinks at the bar. Free parking is a bonus and location was great only a 10min walk from Grasmere and a bus stop close to the hotel to reach Ambleside, Keswick and Kendall. Only thing that really lets the place down is the stained carpets!"

"The park was nearby, the lakeside setting was fabulous and the staff lovely. The food was good, especially the breakfast was sensational. The dining room/ restaurant was a bit institutional and soulless. It was strange that the bar could have run out of plain crisps, indeed all crisps but the most exotic of flavours by Saturday lunchtime of a busy weekend. Someone with a bit of initiative could have run across to the Aquarium cafe and scooped up their's. But that is a minor detail. The cosy room was of a good size with a bath. ."

"The hotel is situated a few minutes walk from a beautiful beach with stunning views. The staff are amazing and very friendly. The service is excellent and the food is simply delicious. Myself and my wife stay here for weekends all the time and won't stay anywhere else. "
