With its rides and exhibits that offer something for the whole family, SeaWorld® Orlando is always a popular destination. Opened in 1973, it is ideally located close to Discovery Cove® and Aquatica® water park.
As soon as you walk through the entrance to the Marina you’ll appreciate the relaxed atmosphere of the park, where nature and conservation are at the heart of its work, but where you can also enjoy the many rides and shows on offer. Take a ride to the top of the 122-metre-high Sky Tower and you’ll get to look out across the 800,000 square metres of SeaWorld and see just how vast the park really is.
The dolphins are, of course, a huge attraction to the many visitors who flock here. Head for the Dolphin Nursery® and Dolphin Cove to get close to the smart sea creatures. You can also see the walruses at the Wild Arctic Up Close Experience, admire the rays in the Manta® Aquarium, or get a table by the pool and eat out with Shamu® and the orcas.
There are many shows where visitors can see the various sea creatures showing off. The Blue Horizons® Dolphin Spectacular is a real treat, as is Pirate Island where you can see the sea lions Clyde and Seamore performing for their guests. Throughout the year, there are all kinds of shows and concerts that you can enjoy, so make sure you plan ahead and see what’s on.
Check out the fun rides from the monster roller coaster Kraken® to the flume drop of the Journey to Atlantis®, and many more nautical themed attractions. For the youngest visitors, head for the rather gentler Shamu Express® at Shamu’s Happy Harbor®.
There are also behind-the-scenes tours available to visitors. For a full experience of the resort, try a VIP package which will guarantee you a great seven-hour tour, front-of-line access, a reserved seat for one of the shows, and the chance to enjoy some fine dining. A dozen dining experiences are on offer at the Mediterranean-inspired Waterfront, including the Sharks Underwater Grill® where you can eat right next to some of the most beautiful sea creatures.
