Cozy 3-bed lakefront home with deck & fireplace

  • Rare opportunity to rent a lake-front home at Tappan Lake! Enjoy lake views from the large bay windows or go out and catch fish from the back yard. Our favorite place is the large deck overlooking the water with a large outdoor dining table and Blackstone for cooking. There are 3 full beds, a sleeper sofa, and couch to accommodate up to 9 guests. For larger groups, we have an additional 2-bedroom home across the street that can be booked as well.
    The space
    The main floor has a kitchen and dining area, living room, 2 bedrooms and 1 full bath with a shower. There is an additional bedroom and full bath in the lower level as well as a second living room with sleeper sofa.

The property presented as pictured. It is a little outdated but furnished nicely. It served us nicely. The lake really was not accessible from the property. We did not use the firepit, but it was there including wood and chairs. We did not use the Blackstone grill as people have not been cleaning it and we did not want to have to clean it and empty out the full grease trap before using. As all property in Ohio especially close to water( and it had been raining for days) there was a big damp smell, especially on the bottom level. It is centrally located to all the activities we were there to participate in. Overall it was a good experience. They could use some more coffee cups.

Relaxing family vacation

The house is laid out very nice. We have a handicapped family member that had no issues getting around the house. If traveling with a handicap person, the shower isn't great and you'll need to use the fishing doc just down the road that is specifically for handicap. We were able to fish from the backyard and relax in the spacious beautiful deck. The traffic is noticeable since it's so close to the main road, but the location is nice to be at the marina or beach in 5 min or less. All in all, we would stay here again!

Our group loved the scenery, location, and cleanliness of the rental. The kitchen area was well stocked with basic kitchen items. Host was friendly and quick to respond! We are already planning our next trip to stay in this rental!

We had a family trip with 6 adults. There was plenty of room inside and great outdoor space to enjoy the view of the lake and take in some shore fishing. The property is well maintained and very comfortable.

Adorable country cottage. We had a lovely experience. Home was just as described. Very clean. Finished basement w/ bedroom was so nice for those needing less light for sleep. Very peaceful. The fire pit was wonderful. Had a great weekend here while we enjoyed the surrounding area.
