"Anyone looking at my review may think that I was lazy, just hitting five stars across the survey. Well, quite to the contrary! This is my second stay at La Lacandiera and as I will be 83 years old next year, good Lord willing, I will be back for a third year. Now, I get it that everyone has their own travel objectives and criteria! But for me, boots on the ground, real people experiences, and time smelling the flowers. "Hotels.com sucks that provided the proper location number one. I drove around the area for 90 minutes before locals told me that the hotel was on the other side of Scilla. Bathroom also very clean, breakfast was fair staff very eager to help made individual coffees as requested. Beach is like 30 m away, just around the corner from the hotel. Locals are lovely A+ Scilla is the best little town if you want to experience authentic Italy if you want the run of the tourist trap, Tropea is an option. "Beautiful home-vertically built with the kitchen on the 4th floor. There is a small elevator. Three of the floors have full bathrooms with a half bath off of the kitchen. The owners are lovely and kind and attentive. Views are of the grand marina beach. The entire town is built up the side of a mountain so just be aware that everything is in an incline or accessed via stairs."
