, And Sylvia treated us like family they want above and beyond to make us feel at home.
Sylviio even messaged us at our next destination to make sure that we arrived safely and that everything was OK. highly recommend staying here. Also do not miss the tour and a fabulous herb garden.
Very friendly and helpful hosts who gave us lots of information about the city and it’s sights.
He also gave us a tour of his brother‘s most amazing herb garden.
The room was spotless and beautiful with an amazing view of the city and see. There were also two lovely roof terraces to relax.
Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.
We highly recommend this b&b to other travelers and would definitely stay here again.
The brothers Silvio and Carmelo are wonderful hosts. The property is amazing and the location perfect for visiting Sciacca. The breakfast provided was very satisfying with both sweet and savory options. The brothers go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. I can’t say enough about how satisfied we were. Wish I lived in Sicily so I could visit more often
We were warmly welcomed by Silvio. He allowed us to check into our room early and was helpful in explaining recommended sites to see in Sciacca. Room was very clean and quiet. Great location to walk into old city. Breakfast was very good. If we come to Sciacca again, we will be sure to stay here again. Grazie ancora Silvio.
This is an absolute gem of a property. The owners ( 2 brothers) are so welcoming. The room we had a private terrace with a sea view. There is also a common are terrace. Breakfast was delicious with local cheeses etc. and the breakfast area is downstairs in a cave it’s so unique. They grow their own herbs out in the patio which you will get a tour of. Highly recommend this place you will not be disappointed.
Lovingly restored old villa hotel with sparkling clean and new modern finishes. Carmelo and Silvio are brothers who are passionate about their property and its history. Our room was large and had views of the old church next door and across the rooftops to the sea. We had access to two terraces with seating, one sunny and one shady. Breakfast was excellent with many fresh choices and local specialties. We were given a tour of the ancient rooms in the basement and also the lovely herb garden with many unusual plants. All of the sights of Sciacca are within easy walking distance, as are many restaurants. We hope to return one day!
Amazing. One of the best places we have stayed . Very clean . Mini bar in room . Room cleaned every day. Breakfast was great - plenty of choice . The two brothers who run this place are fantastic- even parked the motorcycle at his sisters house for us nothing was too much trouble- supplied an iron , toiletries, towels,
Plenty of shops / restaurants bars - a must is Murphy’s bar and Otto restaurant.
Silvio was the most gracious host. We got lost in the tiny streets on our way to the hotel and he ran over to us to help guide us out of the mess Apple Maps put us in. The love and care he puts into his property is remarkable and it shows. The 150 aromatic plants was a great surprise and the roof top is spectacular. The cave dining / breakfast room was really special as well. 11/10 recommended.
The hotel owners are very nice and proud of their B&B. The included breakfast is very good. One of the brothers gave us a tour of his herb garden explaining each plant, where it came from and how its used with cooking. I gave them 5/5 stars because I don’t think they deserve a 4/5 but they are not perfect either. They could have provided more help navigating the local busses and restaurants. When we arrived they gave us a map of Sciacca and about 5 local restaurants but we still had a hard time finding who was open and how far of walk these places were. I’ve had previous hosts provide lists of local experiences, restaurants and what they offer for food, and how to use the transportation services. We enjoyed our stay, the rooms are very clean and beautiful. The location is walkable to many restaurants and shops once we figured out how to get around on our own. We were hoping to be closer to the beach but there is bus stops within walking distance that can be easily taken to nearby beaches. We did find some people such as taxi drivers and restaurant owners to take advantage of tourists and guests that don’t speak Italian. Fortunately my mom speaks Italian and was able to understand a lot. We still found some locals on the street that were willing to help us more with the busses and honest restaurant service. Overall this is a good spot to stay and enjoy Southern Sicily.
Silvio and Carmelo are so wonderful. They really go the extra mile to make sure you are happy and comfortable. The B&B is well appointed and in the most charming building. The included breakfast is in an ancient grainery, which made for a lovely setting. Breakfast was divine - amazing pistachio cream filled croissants and ricotta and chocolate puff pastry, plus yogurts, fruits (nectarines and grapes were out of this world), little anchovy toasts, boiled eggs, local cheeses and salamis. Carmelo makes you a coffee of your choice. There’s a wonderful rooftop deck and Sciacca is a wonderful town. You are close to everything and it is very walkable. The two brothers gave excellent recommendations. And don’t miss Carmelo’s garden tour of his herbs. It was fun and informative. You got to smell and taste many of the herbs, and he dries them to sell. His pesto was part of the anchovy toasts and it was delicious. I would absolutely stay here again.
This is a great place to stay in Sciacca, the owner and staff were very helpful and nice. The room was clean, roomy and had a beautiful view of the Mediterranean Sea, with outside patio with chairs to enjoy the view. We would highly recommend this place and we were very grateful for the special favor of being picked up at the bus station !
The breakfast was delicious with local fruits, jams and delicious Sicilian pastries & cappuccino. We also very much enjoyed the botanical tour of the herbs and garden!
If this B&B had a rating of 10 stars, i give them all. Two brothers who making our en their dreams alive. I’m a world traveller, but this is really the best B&B in the centre i ever had. Thanks Sylvia & bro. Philippe from Belgium
The owners Silvio and Carmelo have done an exceptional job at restoring and renovating such an historic property. Their property is a must stay when visiting Sciacca.
A hidden gem in a great location. The rooms are well designed and very comfortable! They breakfast in the grotto was very nice. We enjoyed learning about the history of the place, the renovation and tour of the herb garden. This was one of the highlights of our trip!
Carmelo and Silvio are amazing hosts and very helpful. They’ve created a beautiful space in a historic building. The breakfast is great. I hope to return soon!
Silvio and Carmelo are passionate and caring owners whose first class service is equally matched by the impressive restoration efforts of such a beautiful historic property. A definite / must stay when in Sciacca.
We loved our stay Casa dell'Aromatario B&B. The hosts Silvio and Carmelo are super friendly and helpful. They gave us great recommendations for dinners, and hosted a delicious breakfast buffet. The rooftop lounge areas and the beautiful herb gardens along with the creative, lively, fresh decor were highlights, too!
