Unfortunately, despite roller blinds, the train line that passes right outside the front of the hotel kept me up to the wee hours and then again from dawn. Doesn't help if you like to sleep with open window. I didn't, eventhough the small and stuffy room was a bit claustrophobic with the blinds down. Shower doors on rusty tracks. Breakfast is okay, the breakfast room quite nice with a lovely winter garden."

The negatives are many: no safe in room, fake flowers in room, only one pillow, horrendous red and yellow decor reflecting the facade. noisy street even after midnight, worn out stair carpet, old carpet in the room, was that a TV? toilet/shower room for those under 75 kg only, cramped conditions with table and armchairs blocking much of the room's space. "This is a good hotel, geared mainly toward their German clientele. Regardless of what their marketing says, this is a decent two star hotel, not a four star, and priced accordingly. Once you accept that it's a good place to stay, and I would recommend it.
