The hotel was not what I would describe as clean. Vents in the hallway had visible mold on the surface and the rooms/HVAC systems smelled musty. The host was communicative and helpful. The amenities (hot tub, fireplace, bar, and sauna) made it easy to enjoy time together and reconnect.
