The perfect holiday home

Having just returned from our visit to Gemuend, we can say that this house had everything. From a well-stocked kitchen to a brilliant selection of children's toys, there was nothing more we could have asked for. As regular self-caterers in Germany we have a lot of experience of holiday homes, and can safely say that this was the best we have stayed in. Recommended without hesitation.

Great base to explore.

The house was newly renovated, clean, spacious & comfortable. The location was excellent, across a quiet street from a river and walking trails, while being a 10 min. walk to the centre of Gemund with several great restaurants/bars. The host family responded quickly to my messages and graciously forwarded a hat I had forgotten to one of my next accommodations. The few negatives were that I found the pillows uncomfortable and a few of the listed amenities were not present, such as a clothes dryer, an outdoor grill and a fussball game. We had packed and booked accommodation around the use of a washer/dryer so its absence was very inconvenient. The host offered the use of a dryer in another rental but we found a more convenient option. So, if a clothes dryer is important to you, make sure the promised dryer has been installed. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this house.

Accomodatie voor ons, 4 volwassenen , prima in orde en ruim toereikend in uitrusting en voorzieningen. Schoon, prima bedden en 2 badkamers ruime keuken en goede verwarming. En de lokatie is zeer goed voor het maken van rondwandelingen.

Gepflegtes Haus mit top Ausstattung. Sehr ruhig und trotzdem ausreichend Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Der Kontakt zu den Vermietern war unkompliziert. Infomaterial zu den Aktivitäten im Nationalpark lag bei Ankunft schon bereit. Der Check-in mit dem Schlüsselkasten war problemlos. Insgesamt super sauber und alles wie zu Hause vorhanden! Es gab im Garten sogar einen Fahrradschuppen. Ausflüge mit dem Rad oder zu Fuß sind direkt ab der Haustür möglich.

Urlaub vom 2.4.24 bis zum 9.4.24

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Woche.... Das Haus liegt direkt an der Urft und einem kleinen Park. Der Kontakt zu der Vermieterin war unkompliziert, das Haus mit der kleinen Terrasse und dem Garten lag verkehrsberuhigt und trotzdem zentral. Den Bäcker, den Metzger und die Restaurants erreichte man in einem Kilometer Entfernung. Der Nationalpark beginnt in unmittelbarer Nähe, so dass man direkt schöne Wanderungen vornehmen konnte. Es entsprach alles unseren Vorstellungen!!!

Vollständiges Haus in einer wunderschönen Umgebung

Das Haus hat alles was man braucht. Es gibt ein großes Wohnzimmer, eine gute Küche und zwei Badezimmer. Die Umgebung lädt zu einem Spaziergang ein. Die gastfrau ist sehr freundlich, alles war in Ordnung, wir haben uns sehr gefreut.

Geräumiges Ferienhaus an der Urft

Ruhig gelegenes, nach den Flutschäden offenbar komplett saniertes Ferienhaus, das alles bietet, was man für einen Familienurlaub benötigt. Insbesondere die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Der Ortskern ist ca. 1 km entfernt, mit dem Auto ist man schnell im Nationalpark oder am Rursee. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert.

Schönes Haus in ruhiger Lage!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist schon wieder sehr schön renoviert und gut ausgestattet. Es diente uns als Ausgangspunkt für diverse schöne Wanderungen in und um den Nationalpark. Der Kontakt war sehr gut und es lief alles reibungslos. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Familientreffen im Ort

Wir fanden ein gemütliches Ferienhaus vor in dem wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Die Vermieter hatten wohl viel Herzblut in die Renovierung des Objektes nach der Flut gesteckt. Eine Mikrowelle könnte die gute Küchenausstattung noch ergänzen. Einige Kleinigkeiten (z.B.. ein Spiegel über dem Waschbecken im EG-Bad) fehlten noch, was uns aber nicht störte. Die Nähe zum Kurpark (direkt vor der Haustür) ist auch für Hundebesitzer prima und bequem.

Weihnachtszeit im roten Haus

Wir kommen mittlerweile seit Jahren im November nach Schleiden, um unsere Weihnachtsshopping-Tour in der Region zu absolvieren. Dazu dient uns das tolle Ferienhaus immer als "Basis" für unsere Ausflüge. Leider mussten wir im letzten Jahr auf Grund der verehrenden Flutkatastrophe ausweichen. Die Stadt Schleiden und damit natürlich auch das Haus, war massiv betroffen und nicht verfügbar. Mittlerweile hat die Familie Töpler das Haus mit viel Arbeit wieder renoviert. Ja, es fehlen noch ein paar Kleinigkeiten wie z.B. eine fehlende Fußleiste, eine fehlender Spiegel im unteren Bad (neue renoviert, sehr chic) oder etwas Deko, aber sonst ist alles wieder top in Ordnung und es war ein rundum toller Aufenthalt. Wir freuen uns schon auf´s nächste Jahr.

Es war alles gut ,bis das Hochwasser kam
