"A beautiful property set in beautiful surroundings that had every mod con and item you could possibly need! The beds were so comfy and the ensuite shower, well wow! I did not want to get out! The water is so soft and the pressure is far more superior compared to where we live! We visited the beach too for a couple of days, which was amazing, The Trawlerman gets a mention for the best fish n chips we’ve had in a long time! We will definitely return to stay as we have family living nearby now!...

Best Western Ipswich Hotel

8/10 Good

"Although the room was clean, and the beds comfortable, overall the room needed a complete update. Wallpaper very tired and patched, in places peeling. On two occasions we found ants in the room, once in the bed. When reported to staff exchange of room was offered. Breakfast was very good, plenty of variety both hot and cold. All staff were both helpful and friendly. Adequate parking spaces."

"Great as always… Lovely staff, easy parking and check in. Restaurants within walking area but their restaurant/bar is perfect… 30second walk from the hotel. Quiet and safe as you have to tap the card twice at the front and then room. I really like this hotel and will be staying many more times over the summer. Thank you"

"We stayed with our dog for 4 nights from 8th July 2026 and the three of us enjoyed the whole experience and will stay again next time we are in the area. We chose to have breakfast outside and all the staff were very accommodating in this respect. Although the ceiling mounted fan added a little respite during the heatwave, I would recommend the hotel considers the installation of a comfort cooling system sometime in the future especially in the light that this weather is likely to be the norm."
