I never stayed here. They transferred me to their other motel, the Deluxe Inn. Sam who runs the place was excellent and very accommodating. I had a great sleep.

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
The place was filthy! Ac didn’t work in one room so they moved me and then that room was so dirty, the toilet didn’t work so if I had to use the bathroom I had to go to another room to use it!! It was absolutely terrible
Door didn’t lock or shut properly. I told the front desk he said “no one will walk in”
Dirty room with dirty feminine hygiene products laying around. Dirty tampons. An open bottle of vagisil and a used bar of soap in shower. Shower was covered with duct tape. Bad smell. I left. I want a refund.
THIS IS NOT THE THUNDERBIRD INN. This is a listing for the Thunderbird MOTEL, a much worse place. We arrived on the day of our reservation and they’d booked our room to someone else. So they sent us across the street to another property they own, the Deluxe Inn. Everyone was rude, the property felt unsafe, people were screaming in the doorway of a room, cars were jacked up in the parking lots. Inside the room was gross, the lights didn’t work, the light switches didn’t have covers over them, the sheets had holes burned into them, the table under the TV was cracked in half, and the fire alarm was not on the wall but in a drawer. 0/10, just don’t do it. We left immediately.
now i no what its like to be in a third world country. Disgusting, in disrepair, the covers had holes on them, mildew everywhere, filth on the television. I ended up using my own sheet and pillows. Also, had to wear sandals in the shower.
Shocking. The place is advertising under a wrong name (Thunderbird Inn is a different location in town, this place is Thunderbird Motel). The photos don't match the rooms given and the descriptions of the rooms don't match either.
On checking in I was given a key to a room with someone else staying. Tried again, got given a key to a room which was far from what was booked. Showed my booking description to the desk attendant, and he sent me to a room which hadn't been cleaned at all. Fourth attempt got another room which was still disgusting, light fittings coming off the wll, unclean bedding, curtains with holes burnt into them and taped together to keep closed. It's a drug den and I felt very unsafe. Informed the staff, who refuse to provide a refund for their false advertising.
The rooms ARE NOT AT ALL like the pictures on the website!! Our first (& last) morning there a random man came to our room & asked for our key so he can work on the floors. I asked the man at the front desk if he was aware this was happening, & he replied “yes”. We were given NO warning or info about it upon check-in. And the toilet seat was broken so you couldn’t actually sit in it without falling in the toilet or off of it. The room looked like it had been through a hurricane & just left to rot. The doors, tops & bottoms had severe water damage, as well as all the flooring & sink. It is actually a long-term stay hotel in Savannah. NOT a short stay. Don’t. Ever. Stay. Here. I have photos I can post if allowed.
