Outstanding location!! Close to everything!! A beautiful historic location and a pleasant neighborhood and bonus for the Deli downstairs. Highly recommended!
This property was so cute! The location is amazing and we were able to park for free the entire time. We cooked Christmas Eve dinner in the kitchen and enjoyed coffee from the Urban Deli. The location is incredible and being on the square was so perfect for just walking the dog or having a picnic. Comfortable beds, clean, cool and eclectic. Totally love this place.
This is a great location across from one of the city squares. Fabulous old home with modern remodel. Lots of light with unique layout. Easy walking distance to the historic downtown area.
We had a great stay in Savannah in this charming VRBO located in a quiet neighborhood. It was an easy walk to Forsyth Park and the riverfront, and was just a few blocks from E Shaver Booksellers, great restaurants, and The Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist.Jenny was a great host and very responsive and helpful.
Absolutely gorgeous and spotless. We loved this apartment in such a beautiful part of town walk everywhere with a great restaurant underneath for attic convenience
Of the proximity to shops and food. We’d like to open format of the apartment. There were plenty of towels & linen. We have one issue with the key pad. They were very prompt in coming out to fix this. Definitely stay here again.
The space is as beautiful ‘ clean in person as the photos posted. We couldn’t have found a more perfect space for our “mother & daughter’s”vacation. We love the fact that once inside the space our mother didn’t have to climb any stairs. This was very important to us and made her & our vacation more enjoyable. The host is available to answer any questions or recommendations you may have. We found it was conveniently located with it being just a walk or drive to everything downtown. There’s a great deli below the space which is a plus & must try.
Lovely stay at this cute place. Exactly as the pictures online. Plenty of room and decorated so cute. Such a nice blend of old world charm blended with modern. Owner was responsive to my questions. Loved having the little deli so close and an easy walking distance to river street. Will stay again.
Don’t hesitate to book this wonderful place for your stay in Savannah. It’s a beautiful house with many original architectural features but with all modern amenities and beautifully restored. The Layout is a bit untraditional but worked wonderfully for us, 2 adults and a doggie. The location is fantastic, we walked easily to all our favorite restaurants and activities. The property manager is incredibly responsive and very thoughtful, even brought us a beautiful Christmas Apple pie.
We arrived later than expected and the property manager had all the lights on for us when we arrived. The home was in a great location and we never had an issue finding free parking on the street. The home is across from a beautiful square. The home was very comfortable and had all of the amenities you could ask for. We can't wait to return!
The house was everything I expected and more! Loved loved the bathroom door and how you kept the Savannah touch along with keeping it modern. Location was perfect. Everything was clean and felt like home. Even loved hearing the boats go through the port from the home. We will never forget you 326 East Harris❤️
We had a wonderful weekend at the Mayor’s Mansion on Harris St. It’s beautifully decorated to blend historic and modern together to create a very comfy home. There’s tons of space, and my favorite places were the 2 bay windows that looked out over the square and the Deli cafe below. My pup really loved looking out the windows too. The open concept is great for a couple or couple with child or teen. The AC units worked great and the king bed was very comfy. Even the bathrooms were large and beautiful.! We never had trouble finding a free parking space on the street. The location is perfect to walk anywhere within the historic district. I hope to visit again soon! Jenny was an awesome host that was very quick to respond.
My family of 4 had the absolute best week in this historic home. The space is open and bright and extremely comfortable and the location is central to everything. We walked everywhere with a 6 and 8 year old and the trolley stop is nearby. The deli downstairs is wonderful and there are a number of cafes nearby. We loved being right on Troupe square and so close to the cathedral and Forsyth park and Jones street. We loved playing board games in the bright bay window overlooking the square. I can’t recommend this place enough! Two notes for planning purposes - the 2 beds are not behind closed bedroom doors; they are out in the open like a studio apartment, but we brought white noise machines which made the setup easy for us. I actually loved the openness as it allowed us to really connect as a family/ Also, you can hear the footsteps upstairs, so also recommend white noise for that reason.
Pro's (there are many)
Location - you can walk anywhere in the city
The property itself - the character you are looking for with the modern comfort you need
Charm - you can really feel the history in the home
Spacious - well suited for 2 to 4 people to be VERY comfortable
Etc. Etc.
You won't regret your stay.
Note the bedrooms are not "private" however, they are separated and provide plenty of privacy while sleeping.
The only con is that the AC is not central and during the summer the house does not cool off as much as would be desired. That said, we were never uncomfortable, just not as cool as would be preferred. At night the house cooled down and was quite comfortable.
This place is in the perfect location of downtown Historic Savannah. It has a deli on the first floor that you are staying above that is perfectly convenient if you are looking for quick bite. Food and people were great! But as a result the area has a bit of foot traffic. You have a square across the home that is great to stroll with your dogs. There is an apartment above you that given the age of the home, you can clearly hear footsteps and a bit of chatter. But thankfully not too bad and comes with a historic home.
The home is beautiful, has beautiful windows throughout and great space! The two beds do not have doors so not entirely private if you need that. We traveled as a couple, mother in law and two dogs an it worked out well.
Jenny was always responsive and clearly has experience taking care of her guests.
The location is perfect because you can walk to a lot of restaurants, attractions, river street, etc.
There is street parking, not a designated spot but there were plenty and never a problem.
Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful stay on E. Harris St. on Troup Square. The location could not have been more perfect for us. My husband was working in Savannah for the week and we brought our 16 month old and small dog with us. This location offered everything we needed. A short walk to so many of the historic landmarks, lovely walks for our dog, convenient spots to entertain our little one in the park or a playground nearby, and the wonderful perk of the Urban Deli at street level, which we thoroughly enjoyed their offerings and the endless entertainment for our daughter to view the patrons dining below out the beautiful bay windows. The open plan all on one level worked very well and was a rare find in the historic district that also offered a pet friendly stay. The kitchen was great, and the bathrooms and other accommodations had everything we needed.
The only drawback was the second sleeping space, which is in the hallway. The location actually was not an issue for us, but the bed orientation was confusing and mattress was not as comfortable as the main bed. We added some of our own covers and oriented the pillows to sleep in the long orientation with headboard on the side for my mom who came with us and that made a big difference. I would say this would not be ideal for 2 couples, but would be fine for kids.
All in all, I would highly recommend this stay in Savannah if you want to live like a local in the historic district of magical Savannah. We loved it!
The home is beautiful and location is great and picture perfect. If you are looking for an ultra safe area to stay that is central to everything and has all of the charm of Historic Savannah, then this is the place!
A couple things to note that are not complaints (we had a great stay) just information for future guests:
- It is an historic space and does not have central air conditioning, just individual room units, so if you are sensitive to the heat and humidity and require a strong air conditioned space to be comfortable, you will not find that here or any ceiling fans. I suggest bringing a strong fan cooling fan to help be comfortable.
- there is no curtain or doors blocking off the bedroom in the middle of the home from the kitchen or living room, so if you are wanting or needing privacy from other guests you are staying with this may be a problem for you.
- There is a lovely restaurant below that I would recommend eating at! But this does create a lot of street noise, especially when they close up for the evening and bring inside their tables. There is also a decent amount of street noise from street sweeping a couple days a week in the middle of the night.
- There is no water filter or purifier, just tap water. So bring bottled water or a Brita pitcher with you.
- Street parking is pretty easy, but you will need to move your car during street cleaning days.
Overall still a wonderful place to stay to properly experience Savannah!! Would recommend!
It was absolutely perfect for a romantic getaway!! It would also be perfect when we bring our children back! The location, the set up, we couldn’t ask for better!! We will definitely be coming back!
