Location Just 5 minutes drive from the resort of Sestriere, this apartment is in the village of Grangesises, surrounded by stunning mountain scenery. There is very little traffic in the village making it ideal for families with children, who can safely explore the pretty cobbled streets and squares.
Having hosted the 2006 Winter Olympics, Sestriere offers many activities all year round. In the winter months, the nearby slopes suit skiers and snowboarders of all levels. There is cross country skiing, heli-skiing, ice skating, motor sledging, dog sledging and snow shoeing.
Summer visitors can go hiking through the forests and alpine meadows. There are tracks for mountain biking, both challenging and more relaxed options, as well as tennis, golf and swimming. The area also hosts many festivals and events for all ages, including environmental initiatives and cultural evenings.
There are many great restaurants and bars in Grangesises and Sestriere, which will suit all tastes and budgets in the area. For self-catering, Sestriere has super markets and smaller shops selling local specialities.
