The cabin was exactly as advertised, in fact, even better! Everything was clean and well organized. We came to go to Octoberfest in Helen, so location was perfect. Would love to come back but being from Wisconsin it is a bit of a trek.
We had a beautiful winter birthday weekend at the Bear Affair !!! Tracy has an amazing, cozy cabin and has thought of everything you could possibly need. The highlight of our trip was watching the snow fall from the wonderful comfy king bed !!! The attention to detail is by far the best !!! It was just amazing and Tracy is a super super host. She made sure we were very comfortable!!! We look forward to many trips at the Bear Affair !!
loved the cabin. everything clean and well-maintained.
well-stocked kitchen, comfy bed, terrific fire pit, wonderful outdoor living room. convenient to unicoi state park for hiking. would stay here again.
We had a great weekend in the mountains. This property is very close to Helen but we
coming back to our private spot at the end of the day. The property was super clean and had all the creature comforts. We loved the Christmas decorations. Thanks for a great stay!
The cabin was perfect. Just right for 2 people. We loved the scenery and ventured out some but mainly stayed at the cabin. We loved every second of it!
A wonderful place to relax and leave the “real world” behind for a while. My wife and I loved the hot tub. The pull out sofa was perfect for curling up to watch a movie. The driveway is long and narrow but we had no issues navigating it in our small SUV. Just follow the advice on the signs about driving slowly. Tracy was responded very quickly to the only question we had during our stay. We would definitely stay here again.
This cabin was exactly as it was described. Easy to find and very beautiful! My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here and can't wait to go back! The hot tub was perfect and there were even card games for us to enjoy! Tracy was so nice and very easy to get in touch with! She suggested several things for us to enjoy as we were visiting Helen for our first time.
The cabin didn't leave much to be desired. It had all the essentials we have at our home. We liked the idea of being away from others but not so far away we couldn't reach anyone. So we enjoyed the cabins surroundings also.
Best place to stay for the holidays. They decorated the cabin beautifully. Alot of time and thought was put into this property. The hot tub was preheated for us upon arrival making chilly nights alot of fun. Besides traveling into Helen or the local area, we enjoyed nights staying in with a fire and movie going. This cabin was the perfect get away.
Just spent the weekend with my wife at the Bear affair. It was wonderful. The cabins is put together very well. Nice outdoor spaces in the hot tub and seating area under the porch and a sunny breakfast table on the uncovered porch. The cabin is about 5 feet from the national forest. There are neighbors but the cabin is situated in such as way as to still be very private.
Loved our stay. It was exactly what we hoped. You felt like you were by yourself in the woods, but it was close to Helen with all the town and area had to offer. Tracy was super responsive. She answered questions in minutes. It had little “nice to haves” like a USB charging hub by the bed. I had to work one day and the internet worked well. I would definitely return.
This was the perfect place for a getaway. The cabin was very nice and was the perfect size for two people. Most of our days were spent in the outdoor living space. Even with the warmer Georgia summer season, the space was cool and pleasant. Perfect place to curl up with a book or a glass of wine! The lights outside just added to the coziness at dusk. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was cozy, and the living room was perfect for a movie night. We will definitely be back!!
