You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Little Middle perfect for 2

This sweet little, newly renovated, cabin for 2 is a gem. It's located on our property on the beautiful St Mary's River with 3 other cabins sharing a common campfire with plenty of privacy. You'll have time to spend on your small private deck, or walk around the grounds enjoying the long dock and swings by the water with a private small beach access. We offer free canoes and bike usage, books and games, and lots of beautiful sunrises and nature all around. The kitchen in this cabin is small and has limited cooking abilities to include a gas grill and propane, a microwave air fryer convection bake unit, and a small college fridge. You could google our website under Sugar Island SI for more information and photos as some would not load. The exterior is being renovated as we speak.
And you even get to experience our cool ferry. Enjoy the quick little ride over for a fee....$20 for the car only. But, once you're here, we'll lend you our pass for $5 trips.

We had the BEST time here!

My partner, dog and I came to sugar island to experience a new place in the UP and we will certainly be returning to Sweet Retreat!! Sheri and Jeff were the most accommodating of hosts and truly go above and beyond to ensure everyone’s comfort and fun. We used the bikes on the property and were lucky enough to take a pontoon cruise with the hosts our last night. The cabin was absolutely adorable and had everything we needed. I couldn’t recommend staying here enough! We can’t wait to come back!

Like a campground but with cabins

There is not plenty of privacy with Little Middle cabin. It is right in the middle of a play area with sand box/slide on one side of cabin and basketball court on the other side. Not a lot of ventilation in the cabin. Ceiling fans would help. It is not as light and airy as the photos show. Shari does work with you to accommodate your needs.

Sugar Island

Had a wonderful time on Sugar Island. Remember to bring everything you need. There are no stores! Paddle boat, canoeing and kayaking all available to you.. We will come again! We had a good time and will come again!

Cute little place

We stayed at the little cabin and it was super cute. Just enough room for the two of us which was perfect. Nice little beach with canoes and paddle boats to rent. Anything we needed we were able to talk to the owners about. We enjoyed our stay on Sugar Island.
