Join friends and family at the Shoebox Cottage, an idyllic retreat in the heart of Saugatuck, Michigan. This spacious home has been completely renovated inside and out and boasts over 1600 square feet. There are three bedrooms, two full baths, and tiger hardwood floors throughout. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. Each bathroom offers double sinks with granite countertops and ceramic tile floors. You can relax outside on the patio or deck and enjoy the peaceful garden and water fountain. This home is clean and tastefully decorated throughout. The Shoebox Cottage is in a location of envy! You’re within walking distance to restaurants, shops, parks, and the harbor. If you are looking to relax and see the sights take a ride on the Star of Saugatuck, the Harbor Duck, Dune Rides or winery tours. All offer a wonderful experience. Very lovely home- great location. Had everything we needed. Beds were extremely comfy! Light bulbs in upstairs bedroom needed. If the living room had a sectional and a little more comfy seating would have been much better. But overall it was good!

We had such a wonderful time at this house! The location is fantastic and the house has a great amount of space for a family of four. Liz was communicative and a lovely host. We'd definitely stay here again!

Great place close to the beach

My wife and I took our 5 and 2 year old here for family vacation. This cottage is great! Close to the lake and walking distance to most of the restaurants and things you would want to do.

Great stay for six friends. Clean, all amenities provided. Wished we had a kitchen table for cards, but we made do. Great outdoor patio area. Perfect location. Walkable to everything.

Fabulous week in Saugatuck.

We had such a good time staying at Shoebox Cottage. The house was perfect-clean and beautifully furnished, and the location was great. We enjoyed the beautiful gardens and outdoor space-a lovely oasis! This is one of the best rentals we have had in our many years of coming to Saugatuck for our family gathering each summer.

Wonderful Family Thanksgiving

We have stayed in the Shoebox Cottage a couple of times and will go back again soon. The cottage is perfect for our family of four. Extra kudos to the management team who recommended a great spot for our Thanksgiving meal - very thoughtful!

My daughter and I stayed at this property for a an early fall getaway. The house is terrific, very clean and very comfortable. Location is perfect, just a short walk to shops and restaurants. Beds are comfy and the outdoor space was so pretty and relaxing.

Perfect Property

Perfect three bedroom home right in the mix of things. Went here will three couples for a weekend of fun and golf. The property is right in the heart of the town, easily walkable to restaurants and shopping. Very clean. Fantastic patio to hang out on. Beautiful neighborhood. Would recommend an defintely stay again.

Family time

It was the perfect setting for my kids to meet up with my husband and myself. It was close enough to walk to eat, shop and enjoy the water and yet just far enough to give us the privacy if we wanted. The home was clean and the garden was lovely, many family games were played outback!

Very nice place and great location!

Had a great time at the the Shoebox Cottage! Was obviously recently remodeled. Clean and pretty. Bedroom, bath, kitchen set ups were great for three couples. Nice outdoor space in which to visit. Best of all was the location…just a block from Downtown Saugatuck.

Charm plus convenience

We have been coming to Saugatuck for 30+ years and this charming and well equipped house was one of the best locations for us with a very short walk to downtown. The gardens were beautiful and tranquil. We had two cars but there was ample parking in the drive for 4, an important consideration if you know how difficult parking can be in the area. Lovely decor with updated kitchen and bath, ample towels and linens and very clean. Highly recommended.

Great location and very nice home. The only complaints would be the upstairs drain in the shower/tub did not flow well. T/A well, the beds were also very very soft. Otherwise, the place was very nice and great there was a little garden and even a grill, that had we stayed longer, I am sure we would have used.

Great cottage, great location

We enjoyed our stay here. Check in was easy, house has a great layout and was clean. The location is great. You can easily walk to the downtown shops and restaurants. We enjoyed being able to sit in the backyard garden area in the evening. Our only issue was that we found the master bedroom bed to be uncomfortable. Also though it sleeps 7, note that the living/kitchen area is small (no kitchen table, just a breakfast bar with stools, and the living area isn't huge). Overall, we enjoyed our stay and this worked well for our needs.
