The space was quiet, comfortable, clean, and walkable to everything in downtown Saugatuck. Good beds and reserved parking. Check-in was easy, and the owners were friendly and super-responsive. We'll book again!
Fantastic location a short stroll from all that Saugatuck has to offer. Comfortable bed. Fully equipped kitchen. Quaint balcony for morning coffee or evening cocktails.
My husband and I spent 3 nights here. Great location. Walked everywhere in town. Short drive to Oval Beach. It’s a very old house ( as most of them are in Saugatuck) but seems to be adequately maintained and was very clean. The hosts were always available and quickly communicated with us. Would stay again!
The unit was great for a weekend stay for two. We really enjoyed how it is very cute and beach-housy. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen is a bit dated but functional.
The porch is fantastic - while it could use a lick of paint and you are pretty close to the neighbors, there is a line of trees that makes you feel like you're sitting in a forest.
In five minutes, you can walk to shops and restaurants downtown, but the neighborhood itself was very quiet. Can't speak about the pull-out futon, but the living area is spacious.
We loved the coziness and location of this unique home. It was just as pictured and within walking distance to shopping, dining, and fun. We would love to come back some time!
Great place to stay! Perfect for a couples get-a-way with shopping, dining, exploring, and quiet evenings at home! The host was very communicative and easy to work with - no issues on the property just [almost] immediate response to questions about the home and/or neighborhood. Note: as per the description, the stairs are quite steep and narrow - not something to navigate if you have mobility issues. Overall fabulous place!
Overall wasnt bad for the money. A little bit further from town than thought but nice neighborhood. Manager did put in description that there was steep stairs going to room definitely take that seriously. Contact with manager was great!
Nice rental, except the stairs. I would not recommend this for elderly or people with a disability. The stairs to get to the apartment are strangely shaped at the top and carrying our suitcases and unlocking the door, was difficult. Hosts are very responsive to questions/concerns.
Property was clean and functional. Not sure who painted the bathroom—cut them off. Bed was SUPER comfy and the bedroom was the nicest room overall. Negotiating the thermostat required a degree in technology—I never did figure it out. It got hot in the middle of the night which became inconvenient. Loved Saugatuck and we would come back to this property.
Location was perfect and the bed was super comfortable but the bathroom could use a little facelift. The paint looks sloppy and the exhaust fan almost smelled like it was on fire after being left on for only 20 minutes or so and you don’t have a choice to turn it off as it’s connected to the only light in the bathroom. Staircase leading up to the unit could also use a sprucing up- lots of dead bugs and mildew smell present. Overall, a good stay but a few things to improve!
The only downside to this rental is the weird staircase up to it. It has a sunny living/ dining area and a nice bedroom with tables on either side. The kitchen had everything we needed. We had a run of rainy cold days, so could not take advantage of the balcony, but i think it would be charming on a good day as you are up in the trees. The place is very close to downtown, down a sidewalk of stairs or a hill. As others have noted, the stairs are steep, and there is no real landing at the top, only a turn in the stairs. Which made us a bit nervous, but all went well. As the host has noted, not for you if you have trouble with stairs. We opted for multiple duffel bags instead of a large suitcases and that made it easier. The entryway does smell weird, probably because this is a historic building with a cellar, but the apartment itself is very nice.
