Our stay here was absolutely perfect! The host did an amazing job with the space and so much thought was put into every detail. It was perfect for the holiday to visit family but also be able to work when needed. Outside was beautiful too and the perfect space for dog walking and our adventurous 5 year old! We can’t wait to come back!
Peaceful and so quiet. Enjoyed our stay there. Wished it could have been longer. Maybe next time because we will be back. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. I give this five stars plus. Thank you so much.
We booked this place due to the proximity to a birthday party we were attending in Welaka. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The setting is very serene. We only stayed a couple of nights, but it would be great for a week long getaway. The boat ramp was in good condition and there was plenty of parking for two vehicles and our large tritoon boat. We definitely recommend this place for your next trip to the river!
We stayed at the cabin for the weekend to attend a BASS tournament in Palatka for our sons. It was wonderful! The hosts were amazing!!! We would return solely for the hosts. The cabin was lovely. It was clean and we had wonderful dinners on the hot plate and crockpot! Definitely will be back for our next stay in Palatka.
I would stay there again. I didn't catch there was no stove/oven when I booked it but they do provide a portable burner. (We just went out to eat instead.) Hosts were wonderful. Property was clean and perfect location to visit our children and grandbaby. Grateful that it was pet friendly, our 2 daschunds enjoyed it as well! Thank you!
The cabin was very cozy and comfortable! We had enough space to set up our dog’s crate. The grounds were quiet and there was a lovely little spot to sit along the water and watch the boats on the river.
We stayed for 3 nights over Memorial Day weekend. The host was easy to communicate with and we had a great stay. Heads up that the water is sulfur, so being bottled water if you arent used to it. We will definitely be back!
My wife and I were looking for a little secluded peace, nature, yet some of liges luxuries. Our stay was PERFECT and exactly what we needed! The Host and property managers were super polite and helpful. The home was clean and cool. The property wss VERY cle and decod3ckrated
The property manager Angie was very quick to respond to my questions. I had asked where I could get some firewood and they took care of it for me. The cleaning gal was also nice, loaned me her lighter, brought me a extra blanket and space heater since was going to be in the 40s at night. The scenery was perfect just a few steps away from the St Johns river. I would definitely recommend this place for singles, couples or small families.
Property manager was prompt in answering my questions and was helpful in responding to any needs we had.The cabin was charming and clean, we really enjoyed our stay. Perfect for a couple but would easily accommodate a family or two couples. An earring that I lost was found while the cabin was cleaned and the manager offered to send it to me! Made me very happy to have her do that!
The hosts were in touch not long after booking, and before our arrival. They were easy to get in contact with. During our stay they initiated contact and made sure we had everything we needed. They also provided some business referrals as we were scouting the area for a possible move from South Florida. The fact that this place allowed large dogs on the property was why we chose it, however, we will be back because the location is absolutely beautiful, warm and welcoming. The floors were exceptionally clean, we walked around with bare feet with no residue from floors, big thank you! Overall, we can’t say enough for what a great weekend we had, it felt like home.
The cabin needs some repairs. There are some strange smells.AC may need to be checked.Outside needed better upkeep. The entrance was dusty. Location was nice and quiet but a few amenities might be nice .
Easy check in….Friendly staff….Boat ramp access…Andersen’s Bar and grill was a short boat ride away, friendly bar tender. If your looking for a restaurant by way of boat, Corky Bells is a further trip but has a big dock and plenty of out side seating.
There is a dock, to load and unload fishing gear, however not setup for overnight docking. The property has plenty of space to maneuver a boat and trailer since each night we trailered the boat.
