Hôtel annoncé comme 4* mais prix excessif pour une prestation pas du tout à la hauteur. À notre arrivée nous avions un lit double au lieu de twin comme réservé. Une orchidée fanée dans la chambre et un mauvais gel douche integral dans la salle de bain... Odeur d'égoûts aux alentours de l'hôtel et la piscine est toute petite et les photos de réservation ne sont pas conformes à la réalité... Ne devrait pas être classé 4* en comparaison des nombreux 4* où nous avons l'habitude de séjourner et ce,de part le monde. Je regrette ma réservation et je ne recommanderai pas cet hôtel.

Simply the best!!!

My wife and I recently visited this excellent hotel set in a lovely woodland setting on the lovely island of Sark. We had visited the island before on a day trip from Guernsey and passed Socks Hotel whilst walking to nearby Dixcart Bay. The hotel looked so peaceful and attractive that we were determined to return to the island for a few nights. On our arrival the receptionist was extremely helpful and friendly. We were to find this approach was one adopted by all of the employees. Our room was well equipped and furnished. The "fine dining" restaurant was excellent and the bistro/breakfast room, with views over the pool/gardens also provided high quality refreshment. We were fortunate to enjoy clear nights during our stay which allowed us to take advantage of Sark's Dark Sky status and see a vast number number of stars. A truly memorable experience close to the grounds of a memorable hotel. A lovely spot with great staff and very attractive surroundings.Am sure this visit wont be our last.

Great Stay In Sark

The staff was amazing. They were so friendly and accommodating . On the day we were to leave our ferry was delayed and Kathleen made last minute arrangement for us to take the cargo boat in order to get to our flight on time. The hotel is beautiful , the bed comfortable and the food incredible. It was a perfect stay.

We stayed for 3 nights. Our room was lovely and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a beautiful setting and the facilities were very good. We were, however, disappointed with our evening meal in the bistro, mainly because the room lacked any atmosphere and I felt a 4star hotel should be using cloth napkins.

Hormis quelques points négatifs : passage de l'aspirateur un peu tôt pour qui veut dormir, pas de mini-bar dans la chambre et un service de chambre le soir pas très organisé (nous demander si on a besoin de serviette à 20h30 !), sinon super établissement !

Country house retaining its best featu

Lovely hotel with stylish rooms and modern facilities yet retaining the feel of a family country home. Beautiful hotel. Friendly and helpful staff.

We can't praise this hotel enough. It is set in an idyllic location. The buildings and grounds are beautifully kept and spotlessly clean. I contacted the hotel in advance to say we were visiting for our 25th Anniversary and we were given a free upgrade to a beautiful room. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant, helpful and professional. The bar and restaurants were cosy and food and wines were excellent. We recommend the late turn down service and the tour of the island in the hotel's own Horse and Carriage.

Perfect relaxing break

Really friendly and efficient staff. Hotel felt very homely and relaxing . Lovely snug "dairy room" to relax just off the bar. Food amazing especially local food- try the Sark beef pie! Room good size and well done on design of it. ️Lots of room in wardrobe and drawers so we could put everything away and it felt like home for our stay instead of tripping over our cases. Good shower, warm room, heavy duvet! Loved the card each night with weather report for next day and aspirational quotes. ️Lots of lovely details to Stocks that made it a really special stay. Can't wait to return!

Friendly hotel

We spent one night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hotel staff were extremely helpful, room excellent. A very minor problem on the food side. The chef hadn't heated one or two things through properly e.g.the pistachio desert but the welcoming 'happy anniversary' tray on arrival was a pleasant surprise. Also, nice touch at the end. My wife had left an item of clothing behind, which was promptly shipped back the following day.

Très agréable !

Sercq est une île magnifique et cet hôtel combine un charme ancien très britannique avec des services modernes. Le bar a une très large sélection de whiskys et un barman capable de donner conseil. L'hôtel est situé à 10 minutes à pied de la plage. L'île n'étant pas très grande, rien est très loin... Il y a aussi une ambiance très "cosy" avec des salons où il y a des beaux livres à feuilleter.

Zauberhaftes Hotel in romantischer Lage

Unser Zimmer war sehr schön und einladend eingerichtet und wir hatten ausreichend Platz zur Verfügung, deshalb auch für längere Aufenthalte zu empfehlen. Es gab Bademäntel, die üblichen Duschutensilien, täglich frisches Wasser und Kekse auf dem Zimmer. Allerdings muss man wissen, dass es ein sehr altes Haus ist und man durch die ganzen Balken eben auch die Bewegungen anderer Bewohner im Haus hören kann. Über uns schien eine Familie mit schlechtem Schlaf zu wohnen, weshalb ich, mit meinem eigenen leichten Schlaf, selbst nachts deren umher wandeln hören konnten. Das Essen im Restaurant war zum größten Teil sehr lecker und die Bedienungen sehr aufmerksam. Das Frühstück hatte ausreichend Auswahl und war ebenfalls mit viel Liebe zubereitet, auch wenn es mal etwas gedauert hat. Das Personal war immer sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und einem persönlich zugewandt. So wusste selbst der Barkeeper am zweiten Abend noch unsere Zimmernummer und was wir am Vorabend getrunken hatten... Das Haus mit Restaurant, Bar, diversen Aufenthaltsbereichen und die großzügigen Außenbereiche sind wunderschön gestaltet und sehr einladend. Die Lage und die ganze Hotelanlage sind traumhaft und laden zum abschalten und entspannen ein - im Stocks und auf Sark ist man in einer anderen Welt. Alles in allem ein Traum und wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen!
