Checkin process was great. All done by email. No line to stand in. Although I do miss the interaction with the front desk clerk. Because checkin was done without people interacting I can’t comment on staff as I never saw anyone.
The room was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable
We checked in a bit late and the over the phone assistance was excellent and the room was very clean. The only thing I will say is that it took a very long time for it to cool down in the room due to the air conditioner not working the best and the temp kept rising but it was very hot outside so it could have just been over worked. Other than that a very convenient spot in town for the price.
The hotel had been totally renovated within the last 2 or 3 years and was very well appointed. Staff was very responsive resolving a small problem. Good place to stay at a good price point.
The property is cute. We reserved a king room that was supposed to sleep 3. When I filled out the form for check in, it asked if we wanted the sofa bed set up so I clicked "yes" since we had 3. It was not set up, and did not have a matress- we had to make one with the couch cushions when we pulled it out. My friend that got stuck with the pull out bed was not comfortable. The bed was comfy, the sheets were clean but did notice a few things that made me think it wasn't deep cleaned between stays- there was a dirty coffee stirrer next to the coffee pot (which we did not use- just used the cups for water) and some dusty baseboards and lampshades. Overall, the location was convenient and it was great for a one night stay.
The carpet in our room was a tripping hazard. It was curled up at the corner and both of us tripped on it. I put something on it to keep from stepping there.
The last night of our stay featured a lot of activity right outside our window.
The last time we looked out of it there where a number of police discussing something with a number of folks that may or may not have been quests but it was a loud discussion.
up until then our stay was great
It's a comfy room but impossible to sleep if you are a light sleeper like me. Constant noise all night between horns blowing, tires screaching, and loud cars. There was a giant dirt stain on the wall by the bed closest to the bathroom. It looked like someone scuffed their dirty shoes all over it. And it would be helpful if there was more than just 1 Itty bitty garbage can that was only in the bathroom. I felt like a jerk leaving a pile of doordash bags for the staff to clean up since they lack a 2nd bigger garbage can. Honestly don't think I will pay $700 to stay here again.
Daphne was great, did her best
Code for the door took too long to receive and I didn’t get into the room until 5pm
TV had no remote, cord too short to reach the plug
Worst of all, only Keurig coffee cups were decaf which shows you don’t care enough

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
This property is not open and still under renovation. We were not aware until we arrived. Do not make a reservation through Expedia unless you’ve confirmed with the property that they are open
The hotel is new so nice. Growing pains for sure. Our friends room had ants. They gave them a can of ant spray and didn’t clean the room. We discovered you have to ask for housekeeping services. Nothjng in room indicted that. Not having a round the clock office open is challenging.
Was contacted by Jennifer (very nice) THE DAY before we were to travel 4 hours. She informed me that the room was unavailable because it failed inspection and had to move me to another hotel. Jennifer tried her best but the whole experience was very inconvenient. Was put into another much smaller room and much noisier hotel for the same price. I know her hands were tied and not her fault but after trying to contact hotels.com for day with no response I’m left very disappointed in the website that guarantees everything under the sun. I plan on staying at the ambler in the future because of Jennifer but probably will not go through hotels.com because of their empty guarantees
I have stayed at renovated motels in the past and I’ve had wonderful experiences so when I found this motel I thought I would give it a try. The photos of the property were beautiful and it seemed like a modern take on a retro design. Upon arrival my girlfriend and I were surprised to find the building facade to be different than what was posted online, a room that had dirt on its floors/tiles, paint chips in the shower, and a door that doesn’t quite fit its frame. When we arrived the property manager said that our room was getting a new door handle system so it would be a 10 minute wait which was no problem because we walked around. The motel is close to downtown but has some questionable characters in the surrounding neighborhood. When we went into the room we noticed the door didn’t seem very secure and felt uneasy. We decided to seek other accommodations. With this being said, I requested to get reimbursed for one out of our two nights because it seemed fair for everyone. Please keep in mind that we paid $345 per night for a total bill of $766 for 2 nights. They said that they wouldn’t reimburse us because they deemed the room ready. I spent WEEKS saving up for our stay and I feel like we were catfished. Our reimbursement request was denied but they gave me 50% my next stay- they already took more money from me than they deserve so that’s a hard no.
