Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.

    Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #250 will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.

You can’t beat the location of this property! Being steps from the beach was ideal. The inside of the property needs to be updated. I highly recommend the property owner provide a key to the deadbolt, only key was to the bottom knob and that didn’t provide much security. I also think a shower liner should be replaced after each guest, ours was dirty with soap scum. A ceiling fan on the patio would be great as well as an in room safe. I’d definitely go back but updates need to be done. All furnishings were nice.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Kitchen table is too high, not beg enough. Only two chairs which are very difficult to get in/out of. Kitchen supplies are really bad. Bed is too high as well. Great view but that's about all it has going for it.

Location was perfect and so was the view from the porch. The walk to the beach was good and not too far to the water and area to set tent. Wagons were a good added feature.The rooms themselves could use a refresher. The glasses and cups in the kitchen could use some improvement! I did not realize there was no icemaker!I had to request a clean shower liner when I got there because ours was covered in mildew. The management replaced it with a brand new one first thing the next day, which was good.Good view from the porch, but the chairs, even though somewhat comfortable were very rocky and wobbly!

Quick beach visit

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Silver Sands looks exactly like the photos. Everything was clean. The only complaint I would have is that the shower curtain liner was dirty, which is so gross. A new liner should be put up after each guest. The bathroom looks new and was very clean except for the shower liner. The bed and pillow were ok. The kitchen is stocked with enough for a small family or a couple people. The view is perfect. It is a bit of a walk for someone that may not be in the best of shape to get to the room as it's located all the way in the back and up a flight of stairs. The pool looked great, unfortunately due to a tropical storm it was closed. Plenty of beach chairs available. I would return.

Place was great! Highly recommend renting it. The only trouble we had was the fridge wasn’t getting cold and lost some food. We told them when we checked out so hopefully they will fix it. Best part was waking up and having coffee looking at the ocean. Amazing!!
