Relax at Gulf – Silver Sands Resort #232, Longboat

RVA offers Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck, so guests can read email, surf the Internet and soak up the Florida sun all at the same time!



Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands #232 will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.



Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

Always enjoy staying at Silver Sands. Quaint and clean. Staff is helpful and attentive. The pool is great. The complex sits right on the beach. The beach is great and never overcrowded. Location is very close to several great restaurants and St. Armand Circle which is great for shopping and dining.

Great place to stay with private beach

This condo is everything it was represented to be. Beautiful beach. Pool is very clean, warm and inviting. Condo is clean. It is an older unit, not a super luxurious feel, but very accommodating and comfortable. Location is great for walking, beachcombing, convenient to dining. Bed is very comfortable. Would stay here again.

It could use some maintenance, such as the patio screens are torn, the microwave is rusty inside (but works great), the box springs cover needs replaced & bedroom wall has a little water damage. A Nice Little Place

The property is accurately described, nice front room with kitchenette. The bedroom is fine and the bathroom too. Folks at the office are very nice and helpful. We liked the access to Cedars tennis, a very nice feature. We enjoyed using the pool and grill cooking and the beach is nice too. We will go back.

Furthest unit from pool & beach BUT we loved it.

Older small unit without a lot of niceties. Pretty bare bones. We were given half of a sponge in the kitchen and a teeny tiny Palmolive. 2 bathroom wash clothes. The beach is so private and beautiful. The pool is kept in perfect condition and is a nice temperature. We had a nice stay. Margaret in the office was incredible.

Like that we were able to check out a beach umbrella from the office and the beach chairs were provided in the unit for our use. For a fantastic meal at a very reasonable price, try Hugo II for lunch or dinner - just make a reservation for dinner.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed here a few times before. No complaints love the smaller places over the huge high rise condos. However the geckos or small lizards had a home under the stove in this particluar room. No problem with lizards. Its the fecal matter that is the peoblem. Set up some sticky traps and catch them.

Great weekend getaway for 2

The room itself was clean and was well decorated with a beachy vibe. It was a perfect location for 2 people to spend a couple days at the beach with access to some good local restaurants . The property itself is a bit outdated but it’s hard to beat the location.
