Not only was the property double booked and we were not the priority, but the communication with the host was 100% lacking. When I did speak to a gentleman he told me that I needed to initiate the cancellation because they couldn't do it which was untrue. The cancellation was not my fault and I was not paying the 30% cancellation fee which is what he wanted me to do that is not acceptable. In the listing it said that they were minutes from the beach. That's 45 minutes. They also showed that they were close to or indicated that they were close to siesta Key which is more than 45 minutes. And only after 4 days passed the 3-day weekend. Did the host get back to me? Apologizing. If it weren't for the kindness of another host, we would have had to turn around and drive home. And well quite honestly that would have broken our hearts. We had been looking forward to this for a very long time. The host wanted to blame the app for the issue. I'm sorry but I don't believe that so these are my feelings and my words. If you choose to take a risk, that's what it would be.
