"Payed a lot of money for a room that was on the first floor in the back of the old building looking at a parking lot. The room smelled moldy and musty. Things in the room felt damp. There were only two places to eat and nothing healthy to eat. The shower was made for wheelchair which is fine, but it didn’t drain and water went all over the floor."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Golden Host Resort with the Tiki Bar-themed decor inside and out. The rooms were clean, spacious and well insulated which is what I needed because im at light sleeper. The pool area was spacious and tropically themed and had relaxing vibes. I even fell asleep at the pool side which is really not like me. The staff were very helpful with everything i needed too.The location was conveniently located approx. Half way down Tamiami making it easy to head south to downtown Sarasota or north to Cortez Blvd to the Anna Marie island. I really cant say anything bad about it.Thank you Golden Host for great vacation!!!"

"Stayed at this location in Sarasota to be close to Siesta Key Beach. Great location and had use of the gym, free breakfast and also Free Happy Hour each evening. Nice room and friendly staff as well! WE probably should have booked two rooms but overall, beautiful room and relaxing stay at this hotel!"
