The Turret of Trips - The Water Tower of Groningen

Enjoy silence, space and nature.

Near the city of Groningen (Central Groningen) stands Het Torentje van Trips. Here you can see the sun rise and see, with a fantastic view over the surrounding green landscape.

The Turret of Trips is an old water mill that we have converted into luxury heritage accommodation. There is a small lake with a beach within walking distance and there are several dining options in the area. The interior is luxurious and modern while retaining the characteristic elements. The atmosphere is warm and friendly.

The Torentje van Trips is suitable for couples, families (with children) and groups of up to 8 people.

The water tower is completely detached and is fully rented. Around the tower is a spacious lawn with several terraces and plenty of private parking spaces. There are no other recreational homes in the vicinity.

Bed linen and towels are always included. The beds are made upon arrival.

No pets are allowed in Het Torentje van Trips.

Beautiful place to rest and chill

The accommodation is unique and invites you to linger with its old charm. Very clean and well structured. The location is away from the hustle and bustle and the nearby forest invites you to take a walk. The host is very nice and accommodating. Would book again

Perfect for a peaceful getaway!

This was a perfect location for us, exactly what we were looking for. Nestled in a corn field, away from the hustle and bustle. The home is well appointed, comfortable, and a great location for exploring the area. We loved the unique style of the house. Derk was friendly and welcoming. We couldn't have asked for anything better. If you are wanting a peaceful, relaxing getaway - look no further. Grocery stores, restaurants, and lots of activities are easily reachable and most are very close - yet you have quiet evenings just relaxing with family or friends. We had a fantastic time!!!

Ruhig und mit viel Natur

Der Turm an sich ist schon toll. Es gab Sorge wegen der Treppen, aber auch mit den Kindern hat das super geklappt. Man konnte prima draußen sitzen weshalb wir den Esstisch drinnen fast gar nicht gebraucht haben. Man kann toll mit den Kindern in dem Wäldchen spazieren gehen oder in der Nähe Fahrrad fahren. Einkaufen ging auch super in der nähe. Wir waren alle sehr begeistert ein toller Ort um mit der Familie Urlaub zu machen.

Peace, freedom and nature

The tower is beautifully situated in the middle of vast fields. The sun wakes you up and says goodbye when it sets. The accommodation is great for switching off and being able to fully concentrate on your vacation.

Het torentje in het bietenveld.

Een heel leuk torentje waarin we weinig missen. Alles was aanwezig en was geregeld. Het enige wat we mistte was een airco en gordijnen voor de ramen in de slaapkamers. Verder heerlijk rustige en prachtige locatie.

Geweldig verblijf met rust en ruimte

We hebben hele fijne dagen gehad, vol rust en ruimte in het torentje van Trip. Het torentje is van alle nodige luxe voorzien, naast een heerlijk plekje om te bbq’en naast de toren. Het hout voor de vuurkorf kregen we er extra bij!

Unieke accomodatie op een rustige plek

Keurig onderhouden watertoren, omgebouwd tot 'gastverblijf'. Enige nadeel was het gebrek aan gordijnen of andere blindering voor de hoog geplaatste ramen. Dit betekende een mindere nachtrust dan had gekund op deze heerlijk rustige locatie. Verder erg prettig ervaren.

Rust en ruimte

Unieke locatie. Logeren in een uitgestrekt landschap. Rondom uitzicht en toch privacy. Mooie en frisse woning met prima bedden. De trap naar eerste verdieping was een tegenvaller erg stijl en open. Voorzichtig ! Verder zo netjes. Woning was goed en snel warm te krijgen. Aanrader voor een heerlijk weekeind in Groningen !
