Santana's House

Volcanic Stone House — A refuge in Pico for all seasons

Experience Pico all year round and immerse yourself in the authenticity of this volcanic stone house, where comfort and nature meet. Explore Portugal's highest mountain, marvel at unique landscapes, dive into the Atlantic, observe dolphins and whales, and savour the best of Azorean cuisine—always with a glass of Pico wine in hand. From here, a half-hour boat trip will also take you to the neighbouring islands of the Triangle, returning to the cosy atmosphere of Pico at the end of the day. Ideal for families, couples, or solo adventurers.
Here, time slows down to make way for authentic moments.
Nature doesn't take holidays — and neither does this house.

Our house is fully prepared for winter comfort. We've equipped the space with a wood-burning stove that provides efficient heating, creating a welcoming and perfect environment for relaxing on the coldest days. Imagine yourself enjoying the warmth with a good book or contemplating the surrounding landscape. Come and experience the comfort and tranquility we offer all year round.

Note: As we are surrounded by natural landscapes, it is possible that you may occasionally encounter some small visitors, such as ants or other typical field animals, an integral part of life in such a serene and authentic area.
