"Pros: Die Mühle hat unsere Erwartungen sogar noch übertroffen – genau wie auf den Bildern, wenn nicht besser! Absolute Privatsphäre, da kein weiterer Zugang zum Grundstück, und direkt vor dem Haus parken. Einziger Hinweis: Das Grundstück ist nicht eingezäunt, also bei kleinen Kindern oder Hunden aufpassen. Der Ausblick in die Berge, Sonnenauf- und -untergänge sind atemberaubend – vom Haus, der Dachterrasse und dem Schlafzimmer. Sehr sauber und perfekt ausgestattet, ohne unnötigen Ballast. Die...

"It’s a really nice house. It was clean, had a nice swimming pool but the atmosphere was not cosy. The lightning inside the house and outside was horrible. Bright white light that’s not dimmable. Also the garden was not cosy. Almost no plants and very empty. But overall we enjoyed our stay because the swimming pool was great and there is a lot of privacy in the garden. If the house would be a little cosier it would have had everything we wanted"

"Great accommodation and pool. About 80% of food served in restaurant was grown on the farm. Fantastic walking trails around the farm from 2 - 16km in length. All very well marked. If you go pay for the farm tour run by the owner, Luis. For 15 euros per person you will learn so much about the land and the way regenerative farming works. The tour is by tractor and trailer in the late afternoon - you will see all the farm enterprises from sheep, pigs, jam making, fig fire water distillation, organic vegetables etc. The tour brings the whole concept together and helps you understand why the farm and accommodation is the it is. Great scenery, wonderful walks, nice swimming pool and welcoming, knowledgeable staff."

"The drive up to the resort is an adventure in itself. Winding roads through the hills until suddenly you’re in this peaceful hideaway overlooking Tavira’s countryside. It already feels special before you even arrive. What really made our stay unforgettable though was Fransisco. He’s one of the kindest, most genuine people we’ve ever met while traveling. From the moment we got there, he made us feel completely at home. He wasn’t just a host, more like a friend who truly cares that you have the best experience possible. He gave the absolute best recommendations for restaurants and things to see, plus the special opportunity to be the first harvesters of his new garden on site. The suite was spotless, beautifully designed, and had that cozy, eco-friendly charm that makes you instantly relax. And then there’s the infinity pool, the views are insane. Sitting out there, surrounded by silence and mountains, felt unreal. And we can’t forget the dogs. They were the sweetest, happiest companions during our stay, full of personality, playful, and always around to brighten your day. They added so much warmth to the whole experience. We came here looking for peace and a break from the noise, and we left with so much more: real connection, great memories, and a reminder of how good people and good places can make you feel. If you’re considering staying here , just do it. Between Francisco, the location, and the dogs, this was one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had. "

"Beautiful, Peaceful Stay for Our Family of Three.We spent a week at Casa Alma da Serra in July for a family holiday and babymoon. It was peaceful, scenic, and just what we needed before welcoming our second child.The house sits in a quiet village on a hilltop, with stunning views across the valley. It’s a one-bedroom home, well-decorated and comfortable, perfect for couples or small families. Just a few steps from the front door is the lovely private terrace with an above-ground pool, shaded dining area, sun loungers, and even a sand play station our almost four-year-old loved. Though a narrow village road separates the two, it was used only a few times all week, and every car passed slowly.The location is peaceful and feels remote, but it’s just a 5-minute drive to São Brás de Alportel with shops, restaurants, and more. The hills behind the property are great for hiking.Though the host was away, her sister welcomed us warmly and was always available by WhatsApp for help or tips. A bottle of wine on arrival made us feel instantly at home.There’s no air conditioning, but we didn’t mind. The house can get warm during the heat of the day, which we found added to the experience. We slept well with the windows open. Fans are provided for warmer evenings. Excellent value, relaxing setting, and truly memorable. We would absolutely return."
