Villa Markos - Fabulous place to stay

Absolutely brilliant place. Spacious, clean, close to the beaches and the restaurants; in fact, the restaurant on site (Mama's Kitchen) is top notch. Markos himself and all his staff are superstars, so friendly and helpful. We left with memories that will last forever. Definitely recommend anyone to stay here.

So friendly and relaxed.

We love Villa Markos and we love Markos and his son. Markos has a little family traditional Greek bistro by the pool, what a delightful place to have a wonderful family meal away from the crowds and higher prices at the beach front. An easy walk to the beach down bougainvillea lined alleys in one direction. And, very handy to be able to go the other way to find the main road with a fab mini-market where you can buy excellent bread and a can of dolmades - stuffed vine leaves - to enjoy with a slice of lemon on your Villa Markos delightful terrace.

Personale molto accogliente ed amichevole. L'appartamentino è molto comodo (anche per una famigliola), ha una cucina con grande frigo a disposizione. A pochi minuti dalla spiaggia, ha anche una piscina per potersi svagare. Dista anche pochi minuti dalla strada principale (con negozi, ristoranti, nolleggi auto/scooter e stazione bus)

La struttura è molto vecchia, le camere male arredate, finestre non oscurate, lenzuola pulite ma macchiate, asciugamani induriti. la parte più malmessa sono i bagni: vecchi, L acqua spruzza dappertutto dalla doccia, lavandino piccolissimo, tutto privo di una mensola per appoggiare qualcosa e appendiasciugamani. Per fortuna il personale è gentilissimo e molto accudente: una vergogna le 4 stelle assegnate!

Spartano ma molto comodo

Appartamento comodo per chi lo usa come base di appoggio in quanto a pochi metri da spiaggia e negozi. Non è pensabile di usare la cucina in quanto non attrezzata, ma le lenzuola e gli asciugamani venivano cambiati tutti i giorni. Il proprietario è un signore molto dolce e gentile. Si respira un'atmosfera greca e rilassante.

Appartamento vicino alla spiaggia

La posizione della casa è veramente comoda, vicinissima alla spiaggia, ai ristoranti e alla fermata del bus. Purtroppo la descrizione e le foto non rispecchiano la realtà (almeno per la camera che ci hanno dato) mancava la tenda alla doccia e ad ogni uso inevitabilmente si bagnava tutto intorno. Le lenzuola non erano molto pulite, non sappiamo neanche se ci venissero cambiati gli asciugamani giornalmente. Il ristorante invece ci ha preparato piatti molto buoni, e anche la piscina è stata apprezzata. Non molto cordiali con noi i proprietari.

Tres bof

Hotel vétuste chambre avec 2 lits simple de mauvaise qualité pas terrible pour un couple. Clim tres bruyante et trop froide inreglable soit chaud soir froid douche minuscule et eau salé pas l'impression d'être lavé sel de la douche sur soi. Et coin cuisine ou il est impossible de faire à manger . Bref la piscine et bien le restaurant aussi et le personnel sympa à 5 min de la plage de perissa a pied .

Petit appartement avec piscine

Nous avons passé une seule nuit (transit aéroport > port). Nous avons profité de la piscine dès notre arrivée (tardive). Nous avions pris les serviettes de la chambre, entre temps elles avaient été remplacé par des nouvelles propres et sèches ! Le propriétaire a été très accueillant et nous avons informé des navettes pour le port. L'arrêt est au bout de la rue à droite (très pratique). J'ai lu dans un commentaire précédent que l'eau était salée à la douche. C'est normal c'est comme ça dans toutes les îles des cyclades qui n'ont pas de sources naturelles… l'eau de mer est désalée pour l'eau courante (donc les piscines aussi sont légèrement salées et chlorées).

Innsjekking gikk veldig fint, og rommet var helt ok. Badet var veldig lyst, fint og rent, men ellers var selve rommet var veldig mørkt. Kjøkkenet var i en mørk krok og alt av kjøkkenutstyr var møkkete ved ankomst. Det var inntørkede matrester, og vi hadde hverken oppvasksåpe eller svamp. Vi gikk derfor ned for å spørre etter dette, men ingen av de som jobbet der kunne noe særlig engelsk. Vi fikk hjelp av en liten gutt som oversatte til vertene, men de ristet på hodet og vi måtte skaffe dette på egenhånd. Bassenget var fint, men det er kun noen få trange plasser rundt det, så vær tidlig ute om du ønsker å ligge der. Ellers så fungerte ikke internett på rommet, kun på balkongen, men der hadde vi ikke noe skyggeplass. Det var heller ikke noe tørkestativ til klær, så klesvasken måtte henges over to stoler. Oppholdet var helt ok, men tror nok ikke at jeg hadde booket her igjen.

Not what expected

Good time in advance we ordered an large apartment with double bed and an extra bunk bed. Mailed the hotel one day in advance with what boat we were arriving with so they could pick us up, but they never came. Had to pay another hotel to drive us from the port after waiting for quite some time. Upon arriving we were told they had not read their mail in some days, and then we were given an small room with twin beds and no space for extra bed. They told us they were over booked and nothing they could do. Had to argue for hours with the staff, but the man at the desk did not speak english that well, so we had to call their "Booking Manager" and spoke to her over the phone. She did not do anything or offer any solution, and were hostile from the very beginning. She was so rude we had to complain to Hotels.com. They immidiately contacted the hotel. The staff at the hotel had told them they were at the beach, so they had to call back, and then hung up. When trying to call the hotel again the staff had turned off their phone. Quite shocking to us, who by then at 10 in the evening did not have any solution or place were we all could sleep. Thankfully Hotels.com found the hotels treatment of us and them so poor that we and Hotels.com found another solution. Very satisfied with Hotels.com, not at all with Villa Markos... Feel a bit sorry for the poor owner who obviously had problems communicating due to his poor english, but he should fire or educate his "Booking Manager".

Bon rapport qualité/prix. Hôtel situé dans le secteur de Perissa, à 12 km de Fira et 23 km de Oia. Excellent pied à terre pour visiter Santorin. Chambre propre, décor simple et confortable. Toutefois, si vous chercher un hôtel 5 étoiles, cet établissement n'est pas pour vous! Restaurant appartenant aux propriétaires de l'autre côté de la rue. Excellente nourriture à bon prix. Service très familial. On a l'impression de faire partie de la famille! Location de voiture possible à prix compétitif avec la compagnie Fast and Furious. Service Wi-Fi disponible. Air climatisé. Piscine creusée. Propriétaires sympathiques et chaleureux. Très belle expérience, je vous le recommande!

Unterkunft ist sehr nah zum Strand. Mein Zimmer war bisschen enttäuschend, Bett war nicht so bequem und die duschen waren nicht so toll. Aber ich glaube, weil ich alleine in Griechenland war, war ich im Hotel der einzige der dieses Problem hatte. Ich hab mit den anderen Hotelgästen gesprochen, die waren alle positiv zufrieden. Im großen und ganzen würde ich das Hotel dennoch weiterempfehlen, durch die Freundlichkeit vor Ort und der Nähe zum Strand

Det var enkelt boende men själv tycker jag att det är viktigt att det är rent...det var så rent, har aldrig upplevt det så rent på ngt ställe! Familjen hade en otroligt fin service känsla, hjälpte till med allt vi bad om fyrhjuling, kuddar , information om se värdigheter, skjuts till båten osv.
