We were a plane full of holiday travelers just off-loaded at 8 pm and told by BA - here is your luggage, we will leave in 12 hours, good luck finding accommodations for yourself. "FULL STOP! BOOK IT! Anne, Giuseppe and Angela in the breakfast room are ALL AMAZING! The entire staff was kind and supportive of even helping me talk italian because I was in language school. Get the parking information in advance and reserve your spot. They will arrange for a pick up at the garage and you don't have to schlepp your luggage which in Matera can be challenging. I absolutely LOVED this property and I have traveled to 37 countries. Charming - unique and I simply adored the cave experience."
