Perfect for hotel for pool and sea swimming

Much enjoyed stay here at end of September. The hotel has an unusual lay-out with blocks of rooms scattered over the hillside and with golf-type buggies running frequently picking guests up to get back to the main building or elsewhere. Our room was very close to one of the three pools from which there was access to a charming small beach. Each swimming pool had a bar with catering alongside which was useful. The very spacious and well equipped rooms were extremely quiet and had good views over gardens and/or the sea. The breakfasts were magnificent catered for every possible taste. The evening buffet was good, though not "haute cuisine" but at 25 Euros was amazing value. There were two other restaurants we never got around to trying but may have been very good.

Pros: Peace and quiet if wanted

Location: Excellent location only a short walk from the little town. Otherwise need a car to get around.

A great hotel with lots to offer

A wonderful hotel with great pools, beaches and spacious, clean rooms. The kayaking was really enjoyable and the regular golf buggy shuttles around were very helpful. I especially liked the outdoor pilates class and the indoor spa. My only slight complaint was the standard of breakfast-the egg station needs improving, the cereal was tasteless and the coffee/tea machines take too long. Apart from that, loved the hotel and would return.

Beautifully located, felt immediately welcome

Beautiful location and the huge hotel site, gardens and pools are perfectly well maintained. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, our room spacious, newly refurbished, bright and clean with a big terrace. The view from the restaurant during breakfast was gorgeous and the breakfast delicious with a vast choice of food.

More geared up for conferences than holidaymakers.

This is a lovely property with direct access to three very pretty beaches. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and the breakfast buffet offered a huge selection which was all very nicely prepared and tasty. We chose this hotel based on its five star rating and location as we wanted a relaxing break. A couple of days into our stay a huge group of people arrived for a two day Fitbit product launch and took over the "quiet" adult pool area with various fitness and exercise sessions through the day. To top it all we were treated to a pep talk by a company executive broadcast over the PA system - felt as though we were at work ourselves Rather than on holiday! On their departure events organisers took over the area and spent the day preparing for another conference for a global consultancy company, setting up a variety of props and doing sound system tests. It may well depend on the time of year you go, however we felt that the hotel focusses is on big business and conferences and bring in the big bucks to the detriment of holidaymakers. This isn't how it is portrayed in the publicity and had we known this we would have booked and stayed elsewhere.
