In the emblematic Santana area, Villa Achada da Mouca is the perfect retreat for an escape from daily life. Stop, breathe and welcome!
Beyond being surrounded by the nature that so well characterises the island, it is also enveloped by beautiful gardens ideal for recharging batteries, relaxing and reconnecting with Mother Nature. Framing the gardens, we have several reading and leisure nooks, an inviting veranda and even a barbecue area with a winter garden that anticipate the house.
Of rustic and rural design, this house is cosy, comfortable, and welcoming. It is divided into 2 bedrooms, a suite with a double bed and another with two separate beds, both with plenty of natural light and views over the garden. Also with a view of the garden and direct access to the outside, we have the living room and its warm decoration. On cooler days, you can even enjoy the fireplace located here and take advantage of this welcoming atmosphere.
On this floor, you will find the kitchen and dining area, which are also very well prepared with all the facilities you need for a pleasant stay. On the top floor of the house, you will find a lounge with a secular wine cellar and a billiards table.
Despite the property offering 2 private parking spaces, you won't need your car to explore all the natural attractions just a few metres from your accommodation. With a walk for everyone, the idyllic Queimadas area is an inviting 2 km from the property. This short walk that literally begins at the door of your accommodation is just the first of many trails in the area.
These routes, which are as iconic as they are recommended, unfold amidst the nature of this parish in a thousand and one options. Among these, the Levada do Caldeirão Verde and the Levada do Caldeirão do Inferno are a must-visit for all who visit us. The Levada do Rei, Levada da Silveira, and the Aguage Waterfall (or Água D'alto) are some more natural attractions in the area.
Forest parks with picnic areas, viewpoints as far as the eye can see, the Madeira Theme Park, and, of course, the typical houses of Santana are what make this municipality the best choice when visiting the island!
We inform you in advance that our check-ins at 22:00 and after have an extra cost of 20 euros to be paid to the host in cash upon arrival.
Since 2017, we have been receiving travellers from all over the world on our beloved Madeira Island, with the commitment to provide memorable experiences and excellent service. We started as Madeira Sun Travel, a name that reflected the sun, comfort, and welcoming spirit that has always guided us.
Over time, we realised that we wanted to go further: more proximity, more authenticity, more connection.
This is how Homie was born. More than a new name - a new way of being.
Hey Homie, we believe that travelling is more than discovering new places - it's about feeling at home, even far away from home. That's why we don't just hand over keys: we offer warm welcomes, recommendations that turn into unforgettable discoveries, and accommodations cared for with the same affection we would treat our own home.
Each stay is thought out in detail to be special and welcoming. Each house has its own story. And each guest is received like an old friend.
Our team, composed of experts in hospitality, communication, finance, maintenance, and design, is committed to taking care of every stage of the experience - from pre-booking to check-out. We work every day to create stays that leave lasting memories.
We are recognised for our personalised attention, the trust of owners who choose us to manage their spaces, and the positive reviews from our guests, which reflect the quality of service we provide.
Beyond comfort and hospitality, we also provide, upon request, additional services such as car rental, activity bookings, personalised experiences and much more - all so that you can enjoy Madeira to the fullest.
Be a traveller looking for a special spot or a homeowner seeking someone who will care for your home with dedication, you are in the right place.
Homie - Your home away from home, on the beautiful island of Madeira.
