Bluefish cottage was a great place to stay during our time in Santa Rosa. The cottage is exceptionally clean, incredibly comfortable, and tastefully decorated with a consistent theme and colors. The kitchen was fully equipped, the beds were cozy, and bathrooms large and inviting. The covered porch was a great place to enjoy our morning coffee sitting in the rocking chairs while watching the kids play cornhole which was provided.
The location is excellent. The cottage is in a quiet neighborhood that is walking distance to several dining and shopping options. We could walk to dinner at Red, Fish Taco, an ice cream stand, happy hour at Cowgirl, breakfast at Blue Mountain Bakery, organic grocery for dinner supplies or beach snacks, or coffee and smoothies down by Coffee Shoppe, among several other options.
The distance to the beach is great, where you could walk to the Blue Mountain Beach access where there are lifeguards, rinsing stations, and restrooms. Beach supplies (chairs, toys, skimboard) were provided and in great, well working condition (no rusty beat up chairs like i've gotten at other places).
We chose to go to a quieter end of the beach with less facilities and no parking lot. We used our car to drop off chairs and bags and most of our party, while I drove back and used one of the provided bikes to ride back to the beach since there was minimal parking in that area.
A great stay overall.
