"It is a very beautiful property with amazing views!
The staff was very friendly. They were constantly cleaning.
The food was great and reasonably priced. (We have had a hard time with finding good food for a good price in the previous places we stayed.
The beach was incredible!
It is a a tough drive on gravel would recommend a 4 wheel drive with good tires. We had a small car and had to go very slow. There is three creeks that need to be crossed we were okay because it is the dry hot season."

"Three ladies in our 50's stayed one night on our way from the ferry to Samara, cute little property and house. Beds were comfortable, I would recommend."

"Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects.
That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. But noise carries and young Costa Ricans love their motorcycles. So if you are super noise sensitive that might bother you, but the traffic is really light on that...

"Our host Jason went out of his way to ensure we had a good stay at his place. We had support in getting to use a local pool, with groceries and transportation to our next location to mention a few. If you need local insights and super hospitality then go with Jason. The location is in a quiet local neighbourhood and it feels safe to have kids running around outside. Walking to the beach is possible, but can be a bit hard for little ones up to 4 years old (especially considering the heat). Go to...

Luxury by the Beach - Great for Families or Multiple Couples
10/10 Excellent
"Our group of 4 couples and several children really enjoyed our stay. Overall it was great. We were bummed that the bikes were in pretty bad disrepair so we were not able to use them, but we quickly realized that we didn't need them as walking and driving was the best way to get around. The access to the beach was great, the grounds were beautiful, and the pool was perfect. We had monkeys playing in the trees surrounding the properties almost every day. It was super hot when we were there so the air conditioning struggled to keep it as cool as we would have liked, but not much you can do about that. The rooms got nice and cool at night so that was great. Paul was a great host and the property managers were communicative and helpful. We look forward to hopefully visiting again - maybe during the wet season when it's not so hot and dry."
"Excellent location. Other reviews are accurate. However, There are two locations for this hotel. one is near the main road - that is where the pool is and it is a small pool so we didn't end up using it. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the beach area which was as advertised. Excellent breakfast included. Staff were great. It is a small town so easy access to everything."
"We had a wonderful time in Viilla #8. The staff were friendly, the property was well kept, the rooms were clean and had everything we needed to be able to cook in the villa. The beach and stores were in walking distance (great location!). We loved our outdoor space, where we ate, read on the hammock or hung out in the sitting area. Thank you!
¡Gracias!"
Luxury Oceanview Villa with Private Chef, Infinity Pool, & Staff
10/10 Excellent
"There are honestly not enough words to be able to express how extraordinary this trip was for our family. The location is extraordinary. Ana and Freddie are the most amazing caretakers. They truly felt like our family by the end of the trip. The food that Ana cooked was spectacular. Our pickiest young eaters ate food they had never tried before and loved it. It almost felt like we were on a health trip because of how high-quality and delicious the meals were. The pool was a breathtaking view over the pacific, and the sunrises and sunsets could not be beat. We try to go someplace new every year for spring break, but it’s going to be hard not to just keep returning to this location. I’m almost afraid to recommend it too highly because I’m afraid it will always be booked and we won’t be able to return. A million stars. "
