Bed and Breakfast in Santa María Huatulco

"European breakfast plan was excellent. Evrything else was very good!"

"The view was beautiful, there was plenty of seating by the pool and palapas by the beach. The room was cleaned daily. The only problem seemed to be a shortage of towels. The staff were wonderfully pleasant and helpful. (However, the guys selling boat tours on the beach seemed shady and overpriced!) The food was great at both restaurants. We loved this resort!"

"This was our 6th year at Hotel Castillo. Unfortunately this year was the worst...major renovations all over the hotel with loud, construction noise throughout the day. The dinning room was closed for few days and meals were served in conference hall...not very pleasing while on vacation. On our last day you could hardly talk during the breakfast due to the hammer noise. They were also doing pool repairs while guests were swimming and eventually the closed the kids area of the pool completely. Similar situation at the Beach Club...plus, major construction on the property next to the Castillo Beach Club. The other issue was the closure of the beach due to a larger wedding with almost 100+ guests. The noise again was unacceptable when one is trying relax on vacation. Horrible!!! "

"Resort was very clean, staff very friendly and accommodating. Air conditioning worked great. Unfortunately the buffet food was always the same. The ala carte restaurants where very good "

"Ocean was partially visible from room, shops were nearby, Wi-Fi was down 2 out the 8 days we stayed (unable to see TV) ate dinner at one of their restaurants and was asked to pay cash because internet was down ( no credit card charge), on last day we had breakfast at restaurant outside of hotel because non hotel guests fully booked Terraza del Mar (their restaurant) other hotel guests were fuming at this situatuon we chose leave"

"Great place for a family adventure. Not fancy but has everything you need. Lots of games and activities. A solid kids club with kind staff. Food was average but very edible. Beaches are spectacular. The views from the main pool are very impressive. All in all a great place ! "

"All the amenities in the room were great: linens, hot water, air con, etc. The pool is as lovely as it looks in the picture. The included breakfast EXCEEDED expectations! Fresh cooked regional specialties, including MOLE! 100% recommend this hotel."

"Just returned from 11 days at the resort and it could not have been much better. The staff were all fantastic! We had a great time durning the day with Francisco and Jose at the upper bar/restaurant and the evening staff with Ixtel and Eric were always there to make sure we were looked after!! Chester from the kitchen made sure we were always fed :) The housekeeping staff were amazing, our room was spotless every day and the bar fridge and water were refilled. The folded towel animals on the bed with the chocolates were a great added touch. The pool was spotless as was the entire pools area and everywhere on the property was immaculate. Some areas were more rustic than others but all were very clean and in great shape!! This is a smaller boutique type all inclusive resort. If you are looking for something a little more quiet but still having all the amenities, this is the spot for you. Most of the rooms are ocean facing, and there is enough variety in room choices to meet most everyone’s needs. This is definitely a spot we will be returning to!!"
