"Unique: its a wonderful old property that is being adjusted as a hotel. Its beautiful, quiet even though there is a "main" road next to it (you practically dont notice the cars and bikes while eating breakfast) and the windows are new so the rooms are quiet. The view is great, food is of high quality, its not packed like other hotels, though it is probably bc we were there during the week. Nice interior design, minimal and fits the Antigua feeling. Things to improve: storage space or just a few hangers in the bathroom and the room could change the experience, we had our luggage on the floor and didnt have a proper place to put towels and clean clothes while taking a shower etc. The pool was a bit forgotten, but i totally get that every single detail cant be perfect while the project is still ongoing. Unfortunate event: we arrived and had to wait half an hour for someone to check us in. That was not cool, even though the night staff (chef and waitress) did what they could to phone someone in. The chef, who created awesome meals, had no hesitation in helping us with the luggage, which i view as a perfect human quality and it signs over to the loyalty he has with the owners. It is important that employers treat their staff decently and that is something i value. Downside of that: they could have tried to offer a compliment drink for that, its important as a service to try and keep the client happy, sometimes its minor details. Other than that, can recommend."

"Very clean, beautiful and peaceful Villa…has ten rooms. It has a huge beautiful dining room, sitting area and a huge kitchen. An outdoor enclosed patio sitting area and outdoor dining. Beautiful plants and well kept gardens. Our room was cleaned everyday and were also given clean towels. I love the design and the decor! Super comfortable. Wonderful staff, they were very pleasant, helpful and professional. Beautiful breakfast menu to order from. Delicious breakfast every morning, coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice, fruits, however, our favorite fruit was papaya. Not forgetting the fried ripe plantains! Best service ever!!! We will be staying here again for sure!"

"Staff was EXTREMELY kind and welcoming. I assumed boat transportation would be as easy as other parts of the lake which led me to not have transportation when it was time for me to arrive at the hotel. The hotel was incredibly helpful and helped me get on a public boat which saved me from paying $100 for a public boat. The hotel is VERY secluded and it felt like I was the only person there. I definitely should have picked something closer to other towns because I felt like I wasted a day of my trip however that was 100% my fault. Would stay here again but with plans to have more of a relaxing vacation instead of traveling. Definitely don’t book if you are looking to travel around the lake and maximize your time however if you are looking for a slow relaxing day or few days this is a great option especially if you’re willing to book one of the more expensive rooms."
