The Laughing Llama

One of the most spectacular locations with all the dreamy Santa Fe charm!

Completely remodeled, 2 King Bedrooms, 2 Full Baths, only 2 blocks from the historic Santa Fe plaza and ski basin road. This free-standing home is equipped with all the essentials you could need to enjoy your vacation in the heart of Santa Fe. Stainless steel appliances, leather furniture throughout, gas corner kiva fireplace, wifi, full laundry room*, furnished front portal to enjoy people watching while sipping on a margarita, full backyard with a propane grill and outdoor dining for 4 under an extraordinary shade tree, 5 step osmosis water system off the kitchen faucet, books, games, and an overall amazing experience. Walk to EVERYTHING! Or don't, because there is parking for 2 cars in the driveway! ;)

*The washer and dryer are located in the lower level of this original 1940's home. The stairs are a bit steep, and we've cautioned users about head clearance in some areas. With that said, it's a great laundry room with tons of room to store extra luggage and to let your ski's thaw out after a long day on the mountain.

Beautiful Santa Fe house

This house is very well maintained and thoughtfully equipped. The beds and linens were very comfortable and we loved the heated floors in the bathrooms. Alana was easily available and very helpful. The house has a good location on a quiet street . Higher recommended!still near the historic square.

This is a very cute, clean unit in a superb location, you walk to everything; it is filled with art that reflects the Santa Fe vibe. The two King beds were of high quality. The negatives are: tiny bathrooms, zero place to hang any clothing, and doors and flooring that make a great deal of noise whenever anyone rises to hit the bathroom in the middle of the night. Depending on your priorities, this unit can be a great choice.

The place is great. The hosts have thought of every amenity one needs and the home exudes a classic Southwest charm. If you're wanting to explore old town Santa Fe you don't need to use your car. Great location. Unfortunately, at this time, there is a lot of construction going on in Santa Fe.

Santa Fe get away

While searching for places to stay the name of this rental drew me in and it was the perfect place for the four of us. Beautiful and so close to walk each day. Fantastic Home in the Perfect Location

We've visited Santa Fe many times over the last 20+ years and stayed in numerous vacation rentals. This home is by far the nicest we've stayed in. Every detail and need has been thought out and implemented with care. The location is ideal if you plan to walk around the Plaza or up Canyon Road. Perhaps the best compliment is that the home looks exactly like the photos in the listing. Very enthusiastically recommended!

College spring break for my son. He wanted to return to Santa Fe for hiking, art, skiing, and some great meals. Our first stay at the "Llama" exceeded expectations in every way. All exchanges with our host, Alana, were very prompt, professional, and accurate. We had a brief encounter and she's also lovely and warm in person. Highlights for us included location, a spotless well-decorated house, being able to take home clean clothes, and so many small touches: heated bathroom floor, filtered water, coffee, Mimbreño dinnerware, etc.

Quintessential SantaFe

My wife and I and another couple recently stayed at Laughing Llama to celebrate La fiesta and Zozobra 100. The home was a perfect size for two couples, and its proximity to the plaza and Ft Marcy Park was ideal! The online photos are spot on. The home is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Our host, Alana, was in touch periodically to ensure everything was satisfactory. This was my third visit to SantaFe and Laughing Llama was by far the BEST. I highly recommend this property. A++.

I need to visit Santa Fe more often . . .

. . . Just so I can stay at the Laughing Llama! Lovely decor that was homey without being cluttered, spotlessly clean, and everything one needs for a perfect Santa Fe experience. Easy walk to the plaza, comfortable beds, and much higher quality of dinnerware, lines, and appliances than we expected. I used to stay at a great hotel when I visited Santa Fe, but it’s the Laughing Llama from now on!

Charming cottage

Spotlessly clean. It sparkles. Lovely art and handmade crafts from the area. New appliances. Very walkable and the neighborhood is quiet at night, great front porch and back patio. Getting in and out of the driveway can be a challenge, but we mostly walked where we wanted to go. The gas fireplace is pretty and provides heat. Kitchen is well stocked with all you need. Great place!

Imagine you were looking for the perfect location for your vacation. And imagine you found a home in that location that was beyond your expectations - beautifully decorated, heated bathroom floors, sparking clean, comfortable beds, front porch for drinking wine and people-watching. Awesome place to stay in Santa Fe!

We have traveled to Santa Fe for over 30 years and have stayed in many places. This one is on our short list of places to stay again. Alana was immediately attentive to any questions we had, she is an awesome host. All of us staying there talked every day how much we enjoyed the house. We sat out on the patio and night to visit and the front porch in the morning with some hot tea. Super clean! Tastefully decorated. Comfortable beds. Filtered water. They spared no expense to think of anything you might need. We will definitely be back and actually already looking at the calendar for our next trip! We would rate this place 10 Stars if we could!!! PS…there is some construction next door but we wanted to add, we never heard them! The neighbors are so kind and it is a quiet neighborhood too. Top notch place and hosts!

Charming & lovely stay in Santa Fe

My husband and I traveled to Santa Fe 25 years ago and wanted to return someday. (We live in Pennsylvania.) In July we finally returned and brought our 15 year old daughter to see the Southwest US. We had a lovely stay at the Laughing Llama! When we first drove up to the property, the lights were on in the home and everything was set for a wonderful stay. The home was immaculate but very comfortable. The outdoor space in the back was private and perfect for morning coffee. There were hummingbirds each morning in the garden. The property is super close to the Plaza, restaurants and museums. Very walkable to downtown Santa Fe. This home has been completely redone in the Santa Fe style. It's in great condition and loaded with charm. Alana and Bridget were wonderful hosts and thought of every detail! My daughter is still using the Laughing Llama water bottle. :-) Thank you both for a lovely stay in your charming city!!! Highly recommend this property!
