We stayed at La Tambra Lodge which was just beautiful. Room was spacious, well designed with lots of storage and includes an amazing sauna! Jacuzzi and hot tub was great as was the breakfast - delicious, and the lodge staffed by thoughtful, helpful and pleasant staff

We have stayed other places on the Dolomites, but the La Tambra Lodge was perfect; we will be back! The facilities are new, clean, and very well attended to by the staff. The breakfast is delicious and varies slightly day to day. The location is great to access a local style Monte Pana chair, or walk about 10 minutes to the base of Saslong. Overall an incredible stay!

This is a great location to explore Val Gardena. The property is lovely a d the morning breakfast was fantastic. Great vakue when you factor in the includes breakfast and bus passes. I hope to be back soon!!

NOT WHAT WE EXPECTED. QUITE DISAPPOINTED. We booked a family room in what we thought was a modern upscale resort. When we checked in they told us our room was actualy across the street in a bit outdated building. Furniture was out of Salvation Army or GoodWill store. The shower downstairs was a tub wedged under stairs. You needed to kneel. The upstair was so narrow against the roof you had to duck to get into it and stand against one wall. The floors and ceiling had water damage and kitchen cabintery was loose and looked very aged. At night there was a noise of running water in the walls all night long. The highlights were good buffet breakfast and excellent steakhouse dinner for 450 euro for 4. Avoid booking the family suite if you can. Make sure you are getting the room in the new building....

Wow! What a place! Spacious! Clean! Comfortable. Balcony with a view. Quiet! Helpful and friendly hostess « A » (forgot her name). The breakfast was the best I have ever seen in all my travels. So many choices! Beds were very comfortable and the 2 washrooms were ideal. We were 2 couples and were supposed to share an apartment. But since we were outside of the tourist season, a second apartment was offered to us, free of charge. So we had 14 sleeping spaces, 2 kitchens and 4 bathrooms for the 4 of us. The only hiccup was the male waiter during supper at the Tambra steakhouse who was very insistent on getting a tip even though he never checked on us after ordering and wasn’t the most friendly or polite.
