Great hostel good location everything works well.William the manager could not be more helpful. Good atmosphere.very much recommended.
Nice small place with less than 10 rooms. The community kitchen was nice and clean. The courtyard was small, but nice. The A/C and hot water were functional. My only complaint is that there was no information about tours or shuttles. (There really aren’t an tours in Santa Ana) We scheduled our own transportation, activities, and airport shuttles. I give it a B.
Very nice hostel/hotel that's close to the center of town. Easy to spot by the sign and color of the building. There's a gate and the reception is just a few feet inside, where there was always someone available for questions, assistance, and opening the gate for you. No, guests don't get a key to freely unlock the main entrance. Odd to some, but it actually made us feel safer meaning people coming in were screened.
There's a courtyard garden in the middle, the kitchen is to one side and the rooms the others. Our room was spacious with one single and one double beds. Comfy and clean. The a/c was a relief from the (afternoon) heat. The bathroom was on the smaller side with no vanity but there was a table nearby so we made it work. Shower was nice with good pressure and hot water. There were a few hooks for clothes but not sure enough for long term stays. The TV was mostly local cable channels but we found a few English news channels like CNN, BBC.
Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay very close to the center. Everything you need is around, the market, the sights, coffee shops, restaurant, stores. Note to be careful/mindful walking around at night since this is downtown area, just like in any other city.. but we felt safe walking around day or night. Cheers!! 🙂
Really good location close to the central plaza of Santa Ana. I was a bit concerned to have a rental car in the city, but they have their own private parking lot which is generally easy to park in. Warm water, large rooms, and good AC made this a very comfortable stay and a great jumping off point for lots of things to see in western El Salvador.
The staff here are really good. They were alway helping guests with their day trips and navigating the transportation systems.
Unfortunately sound travels easily at this property and it can be noisy. Not a big issue, but unfortunate given how lovely the rest of the experience was for us.
Value was really good here. For the location, safety, and helpful staff, you receive lots for what you pay.

Disliked: Staff & service
Acceptable but may be better options
Booked this hotel because the manager from our initial choice called to cancel my reservation due to overbooking. The place is acceptable if you are not driving your vehicle. The free parking is two blocks away and the area does not feel safe to walk if you arrive late at night. The room had two beds and a bathroom, but lacked a closet and chairs. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell, like a sewer, although it looked clean. The hostel is located in the city's old downtown, so you have to be careful if walking out on your own. The place is family owned, and they were very kind and helpful.
Upon our arrival, we were surprised to learn that they were unaware of our reservation, so I believe there must be a communication problem between Hotels.com and the hostel. It would be a good idea to call them before arriving to make sure they are expecting you. Luckily, they had our room available so no harm was done.
