"A disappointing apartment, certainly not worth over £110 per night. Very basic with unattractive furnishing. The advertised 'parking on site' is only 1 space for 2 apartments and was not available on our arrival - this should be made clear in the listing. There are cameras on the balcony and hot tub so we did not use either as it was so intrusive. When we arrived the bedsheets and towels smelt awful, they came to change but hardly any better. "Fully equipped kitchen and 2 balconies. The bigger one was perfect for drying of your clothes after being in the water. Wasjhng machine and dishwasher included. Location was perfect for my purposes. The dive center I used was just around the corner and so was the shore boulevard with all the restaurants. "Great apartment overlooking st Paul’s bay. Lift up to 4th floor. Spacious and clean. Negative points: Electricity and water not included so will be taken from your deposit. This wasn’t included on the advert when we booked so was a surprise. The owners are sorting it out though We had 4 adults and a teenager. Whilst there are 8 beds I think it would be a real squash for 8 adults. 6 adults and 2 children would be the most I would suggest. Air con is only in the bedrooms. Lounge and kitchen...

"Fantastic staff, varied breakfast and good location. The ongoing construction work for hard rock hotel next door was a little disruptive, but the staff were extremely helpful and attentive. Loved the various pool options. We also loved the executive lounge drinks and snacks, and we were upgraded from junior to deluxe suite, so were very well catered for. Ordered delicious desserts to the room too, after a long day out, thoroughly recommend. Traffic in Malta can be quite heavy so we used bolt and uber, and only travelled by bus to comino/ Gozo, bus can be very busy!"

"We had a lovely relaxing stay at the hotel. The roof top pool being adults only was a bonus and we did not have any issues getting sunbeds. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were spacious and very clean - we were pleased we chose to have a balcony. Breakfast had lots of choice and plenty of it. The hotel was in a great location, with lots of restaurants in the vicinity to choose from and a lovely view of the sea. The only thing that could be a downside was having to go to and from the two hotel buildings either under or over the road, but it didn’t bother us! Would definitely stay here again - Malta is a lovely place to visit."

"Lovely hotel in a great location. We really enjoyed our stay, and one of the highlights was the bracelet-making activity for children. My little one absolutely loved it! I only wish there had been more children’s activities available, especially on Fridays and over the weekend. We also attended the Surplus BBQ Gala Dinner, which was absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend it to anyone staying at the hotel. The only areas for improvement would be to offer a bit more variety on the menu at Atrio and perhaps include a small welcome treat or goodies in the room on arrival to make guests feel even more special."

"Food was lovely, staff were friendly (except one member of staff in the Ombré restaurant) hotel was very clean, shops in the hotel are a rip off, gym was small. The Sabi pool area and restaurant across the road was brilliant! Kids pool and infinity pool was really good, didn’t get to see the adults only area as the kids were attached to us (unfortunately we’re not blessed with grandparents)"

"From the moment we arrived, we were reassured that all members of staff had been made aware of our son’s needs. This immediately put us at ease and meant so much to our family. The larger family room was perfect for our son’s needs and gave our family plenty of space. The child safety locks on both balcony doors were an excellent feature. One of the standout highlights of our stay was the incredible breakfast. Every day, the chefs prepared our son a special gluten-free waffle, which he absolutely loved and looked forward to each morning. It was such a thoughtful gesture that made breakfast a real highlight of his day and one of ours too. We also thoroughly enjoyed every restaurant that was open for dinner during our stay. The cleanliness throughout the hotel was simply impeccable. Every area of the resort was maintained to an exceptionally high standard. The restaurant staff took our son’s allergies incredibly seriously, and we always felt completely safe dining there. The pool staff were wonderful with our children, housekeeping kept our room immaculate throughout our stay and the evening turndown service was a lovely touch after long days exploring with three tired children. We felt the children’s club could have had more structured activities rather than a single room with one member of staff. A larger team of enthusiastic, child-focused staff might offer a more engaging experience and would be a wonderful addition to an already fantastic family resort."
