It is located on the 1st floor of a former Black Forest hotel & projects the charm of a house from the turn of the century - its tasteful equipment offers all comforts that you are looking for. The romantic climatic spa of St. Märgen on an altitude of 850 m is located in the heart of the Black Forest, 20 min by car from Freiburg, 15 min by car from the Lake Titisee and 30 min from the Lake Schluchsee. 4 star comfort apartment: The apartment with 4 rooms offers lots of space and is about 100 m². All rooms offer a cosy flair and have been lovingly equipped so you feel comfortable. The friendly and bright interior spaces (living room, dining room, bedroom) all have parquet floors (maple wood), except the bedrooms, and stucco ceilings. Living room and bedrooms comprise stylish built in wardrobes (turn-of-the-century), partly display cabinets. The apartment hat satellite TV (flat-screen, 82 cm). The kitchen is equipped with a organic solid wood kitchen and a dishwasher. The electric cables in the sleeping areas have been covered and a demand switch has been installed. Smoking is not permitted inside the apartment. But you can smoke in the loggia.
Bathroom and WC have been newly equipped with bathtub, shower and Villeroy & Boch tiles.
12 m loggia and 90 m² sun terrace: The bright southern location in the village centre of St. Märgen guarantees lots of sun and a dreamlike panoramic view until the Feldberg Mountain. The loggia is 12 m long, roofed and protected. The lounge furniture in the loggia provides a nice ambience for cosy get-together. On the large sun terrace you find a small herbs and flower box. You are welcome to take those herbs to spice your meals with them. There is also a gas grill for you available with comfortable garden furniture and cosy sun loungers.

Wunderbarer Ausgangspunkt für malerische Wanderungen im Schwarzwald
Wir sind bereits zum 2. Mal in der Ferienwohnung gewesen. Es gibt alles was man braucht, absolutes Highlight ist der Ausblick von der Terrasse.

Wir waren mit unserem 4-j. Sohn in der Ferienwohnung für eine Woche zu Gast und haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Es war für alles gesorgt. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
Sehr schöne und große Wohnung. Toll ausgestattet und wunderschöner Ausblick von der Terrasse. Sehr freundlicher Vermieter der viele hilfreiche Tipps zur Umgebung bereit hält!
Eine schöne, große, urige Ferienwohnung, in der auch mal die Dielen knarren. Es war alles da, was man braucht. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind fußläufig erreichbar.

Die Ferienwohnung liegt im schönen St. Märgen. Trotz Corona kann man Einiges draußen in der Natur erleben und sich erholen. Die Wohnung ist gemütlich eingerichtet und hat alles,was man braucht. Die Loggia ist super, leider war es bei uns schon etwas kalt. Für den neuen Kamin konnten wir für 20 Euro Holz für die ganze Woche beim Vermieter kaufen. Wir kommen gerne wieder! 😊
Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig und mit vielen Details eingerichtet, insb. sind alle wesentlichen Verbrauchsgegenstände bereits vorhanden. Das erinnerte an eine Hotelübernachtung. Herr Andergassen hat sich viel Zeit für die Übergabe genommen und alle Geräte erklärt. Zudem gab es eine umfangreiche Sammlung von Restaurant-, Ausflugs- und Wanderzielen aus denen wir unsere Ausflüge sehr gut planen konnten. Ein sehr rundes Gesamtpaket, wo wir gerne wiederkommen.

Positiv:
Gross, tolle Balkon & Terrasse, trotz Bienennetz. Gute Infrastrukur in St Märgen. Gute Anschluss zum Naturschwimmbad, Tennis, Spielplatz, Reiten, MTB. Sehr nette Eigentümer & lokale Betreuung.
Negativ:
Teilweise verältete Austatung (Eingangsberreich, Küchengeräte).
Sehr Laut , da es direkt an der Haupstrasse liegt.

Delightful property, home from home.
We enjoyed a wonderful stay in this delightful property. We all enjoyed a really wonderful time and we were really sad to have to leave at the end of our week. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the location and the space in the apartment. Our favourite feature was the covered terrace with the delightful views. The apartment was really comfortable and it felt very homely.
Ernst was a lovely host and was very welcoming; we hope to return.

Sehr gut ausgestattete Wohnung mit prima Aussicht!
Die Ferienwohnung liegt nahe am Zentrum von St Märgen (Bäcker, Metzger, kleiner Supermarkt, Bankautomat, Tankstelle, Restaurants...) in einem ehemaligen Hotel. Das Haus (Fassade, Treppenhaus) ist zwar etwas in die Jahre gekommen, die Fewo an sich ist aber in einem sehr guten Zustand und auch sehr angenehm eingerichtet. Besonders erwähnenswert ist die sehr gut ausgestattete Küche sowie die grosse Terrasse sowie der ebenfalls grosszügige Balkon. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen.

I would agree with the previous review in that the appartment is very well appointed and from the rear has lovely views to the hills beyond (building ugly from the road but the appartment is situated to the rear of the building). Its is a very pretty appartment on the edge of the town of Sankt Margen.
Our host Ernst was very helpful.
The loggia is the best part of the property, spacious and comfortable with a sofa. The roof terrace we didn't use much as the building is on the main road and occasionally got quite noisy outside, especially at 'rush' hour and at the weekend.
There is plenty of tourist information (German and English) provided although we would have liked some walking maps of the local area which we had to purchase from the tourist info office.
There is a bakery, deli and small supermarket in the village but you need to go to Titisee Neustadt for supermarket shopping (15 mins). The Edeker and Aldi are situated on a roundabout on the main road between Titisee and the Neustadt - junction of L128 and L156 (we spent nearly an hour trying to find it as we didn't have the address).
Things we liked:

- pretty decor
- well appointed kitchen, lots of nice crockery
- good sized bathroom
- one English TV station (CNN)
- location is great for local walks and not far from points of interest, beautiful countryside
- lots of tourist info provided
Things that could have been better:
- A choice of pillows - the bed had large, high/hard pillows so we ended up having to use cushions from the living room. The pillows in the spare room were also large and too high for us
- Larger more comfortable sofa (there is a small 2 seat sofa and a larger one which looks pretty but isn't very comfortable
- The washing machine plug was locked up so we couldn't use the facilities and had to wash our clothes by hand
- Roof terrace can get noisy as it is next to the road (don't think there is anything you can do about this though)
Overall I would rate this appartment Good - I have only marked it down from Excellent due to it being on the main road and overlooking a small housing estate at the back (occasional noise).

Loggia mit Traumaussicht
Wir waren im August 2008 fuer 3 Wochen da und es hat uns wirklich gut gefallen! Vorderseite des Hauses und Treppenhaus waren nicht so schoen, aber die Wohnung selbst ist mit viel Liebe und gutem Geschmack eingerichtet. Am Wochenende ist es wegen der Motorradfahrer auf der Strassenseite (Kueche, Bad, kleines Schlafzimmer) etwas laut, aber das grosse Schlafzimmer, Esszimmer und Wohnzimmer liegen ruhig nach hinten. Und die windgeschuetzte Loggia, reich moebliert, ist einfach wunderbar! Die meiste Zeit haben wir hier verbracht und die herrliche Aussicht genossen. Eigentlich schade, denn Wohn- und Esszimmer sind auch so gemuetlich. Das Badezimmer ist gross und schon fast luxurioes. Und in der Kueche gab es einfach alles, was ein Hobbykoch oder eine gute Hausfrau braucht, vor allem auch ordentliche Pfannen und Toepfe, gut schneidende Messer etc. Dazu gibt es noch den Kraeutergarten, wo man sich bedienen darf.
Zu den Geschaeften im Ort laeuft man ca. 5 Minuten. Da gibt es eine Metzgerei, Baeckerei, Konditorei, Supermarkt etc., einige Hotels und Restaurants.
Vom Haus aus ist man gleich in Wald und Wiese, also zum Wandern ideal. Natuerlich haben wir auch viele schoene Ausfluege per Auto in die weitere Umgebung gemacht. Der Schwarzwald hat ja so viel zu bieten...
In der Fewo gab es viel Informationsmaterial, was bei der Planung der Ausfluege nuetzlich war.
Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefuehlt und schwaermen jetzt noch davon.
