As a hub between the Silvretta and Verwall mountain ranges, Sankt Gallenkirch-Gortipohl is a hub for active recreation. Both villages offer direct access to the Silvretta-Montafon ski area with its 140 kilometers of slopes. The Valisera, Grasjoch, and Garfrescha lifts quickly transport winter sports enthusiasts into the Montafon mountains.

In summer, numerous walking and hiking trails lead from the village center to scenic viewpoints. St. Gallenkirch is also the starting point for daily guided mountain bike and e-bike tours offered by Montafon Tourism's BergePLUS program.

St. Gallenkirch-Gortipohl is particularly family-friendly, featuring the Aquarena indoor/outdoor swimming pool, which includes a four-lane water slide and a children's playground.
