Novotel Southampton

10/10 Excellent

"Easy walking distance from train station. Also easy walking distance to port. Ideal for cruisers who would like to arrive the day prior to their departure."

Trouville Hotel by Compass Hospitality

8/10 Good

"The Trouville is a lovely hotel on the seafront of Sandown. We booked two triple rooms with sea views for a family stay. The rooms are a great size plenty of storage and space to move around. We had a lovely night sleep with the waves crashing on to the beach. The breakfast was great we chose to have the cooked breakfast which was nice and there were lots of continental options which we could help ourselves to. The staff member was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We had a most enjoyable time on the pier which is a minute walk away from the hotel and Dinosaur Isle 4 minutes drive along the seafront. We would definitely stay again."

Meon Valley Hotel, Spa & Golf

8/10 Good

"Very welcoming and friendly. We arrived after midnight and left very early the next day so didn’t have much experience of the facilities but the receptionist was very helpful, The only negative was that the central heating came on at 5 and the radiators needed bleeding so it sounded like someone was running a bath, Not an issue to us as we were leaving early and we did point it out so that they could put right for next guests. The hotel looked lovely though and we were sorry not to be able to take advantage of more of the facilities."

The Caledonian Island Hotel

8/10 Good

"A nice hotel 10minutes walk from Sandown Beach. Staff were friendly and helpful. Quiet location, although if you are travelling by car do not use the postcode on your satnav as you’ll end up in a neighbours garden. Hotel is part of a coach holiday group and is very much geared to those visitors. Self service full English breakfast was ok, but we didn’t see fresh fruit or yogurt and the juice and cereals were limited and set apart from the main breakfast ingredients on the other side of the room. No fridge or safe in the room. Stayed Fri-Mon early October, so the hotel was quiet. I would imagine it would be a lot busier during the summer months."
