Beautiful intime Villa with private pool 3 Bedrooms Sleep 7

"We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Messi. The owners were friendly and helpful while also being completely discreet, which gave us the perfect balance of support and privacy throughout our stay.The villa is large and very well equipped, with both an indoor and outdoor kitchen, and the air conditioning was excellent – particularly welcome during the hot weather.The real highlight for us was the outdoor space. There are lots of different seating and dining areas, beautiful gardens and, best of all, a stunning pool which we made the most of during our stay. It is a lovely place to relax and spend time outdoors.The interior style isn’t necessarily to our personal taste, but the villa is spacious and comfortable and, with such fantastic outdoor areas, we found ourselves spending very little time inside anyway.Overall, we had a lovely stay and would happily give Villa Messi five stars. For us, the beautiful gardens, exceptional outdoor space, wonderful pool, excellent facilities and privacy made it a really enjoyable place to stay and we would highly recommend it."

Luxury Umbrian Villa with Vineyard - Authentic Italian Country Estate Experience

"We had the most wonderful stay at this villa, celebrating my mother-in-law’s birthday with our extended family of nine, spanning ages from 7 to 80. It was the perfect setting for such a special occasion, offering both togetherness and privacy in equal measure. The villa is beautifully designed and felt brand new—we were actually the very first guests. The kitchen is exceptional: spacious, modern, and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, including a fantastic large coffee machine, plenty of crockery, cutlery, and all the utensils required for cooking family meals with ease.The living spaces are equally impressive. The sitting room, complete with a wood-burning stove, created such a warm and cosy atmosphere on cooler evenings—we loved gathering there to cook, share meals, and play board games together. There’s also a very comfortable TV area downstairs with a large screen, as well as an additional TV area upstairs, which was great for giving everyone options to relax. Each bedroom is generously sized and comes with its own ensuite bathroom, which made a huge difference for a group of our size, giving everyone their own space and privacy.Our host, Monia, was absolutely exceptional—warm, thoughtful, and incredibly attentive throughout our stay. She welcomed us with coffee, tea, a lovely bottle of wine, and a delicious colomba dessert, and even offered access to the bar. She was always available with helpful restaurant recommendations ."
THE LITTLE HOUSE IN THE WOOD

"We enjoyed a magical three weeks in Castiglion Fosco. Andrea and Gilda have lovingly restored and enhanced an historic cottage, retaining one hundred percent of its charm and adding one hundred percent modern amenities: lovely cooking facility, up to date bathrooms, beautiful handmade tile floors, lots of ceramic details painted by a local artist, wonderful BBQ, stone terraces, and meticulously maintained pool. When there was a mechanical problem with the water heater after a lightning storm, Andrea got it fixed immediately. He also correctly suggested that we park our car in the upper town lot instead of threading it through a tiny arch and up a steep, turning drive. It was lovely to take the short walk every day for our outings and then stroll back down the hill in the evening.The pharmacy, post office and coffee bar under the tower give the hamlet a little more life than most of the nearby castles and small towns, and Tavernelle is right nearby with very good grocery shopping and road connections to the rest of Umbria.Best of all, the quiet was unbelievable. Just a few roosters and geese in the distance, at least at this time of year when many of the other houses were closed up.The surrounding landscape is so green and various, as are the clouds and sunrises and soft sunsets, that we easily read out the encroachments of modern power lines coming up the hill next to the house from an electric generating plant in the valley. All in all, superb!"
