Overview of the Location
San Vito dei Normanni is a village in Upper Salento, built around the Dentice di Frasso Castle, a treasure trove of history where the King of Italy, Vittorio Emanuele III, once stayed. The castle is open to visitors, with the prince himself on hand.

There are fabulous trattorias and masserie offering excellent local specialities, including “Masseria Correo”—an educational farm.
The highway is 9 km away, and in just a few minutes you can reach the Itria Valley in the Murgia region, famous for its trulli.
