"We had a lovely two night stay here. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. We planned to take a train to Ragusa and they took us to the train. Unfortunately the train wasn’t running(beware trains in Silicy!). Salvo came back and got us and then they got us a car service with fifteen minutes. Incredible! Yeah to Salvo and the entire staff."

"We rented a car and drove from Siracusa, with stops in surprisingly beautiful Noto and historic Modica before arriving in Ragusa, one of the most beautifully situated cities anywhere! I chose the Itria Palace due to it's location and with our having a car, parking was an issue. Right next to the hotel is a free public parking lot with plenty of spaces. "Pleasantly surprised by the gorgeous space... unexpected private terrace in the center of the floor we stayed at, antiques and art, beautifully appointed rooms with comfortable beds and spacious showers. Diana was endlessly patient and helpful. For us, the best feature of the hotel is the rooftop terrace where a sunset aperitivo is a must to watch the surrounding buildings glow as the sun dips. (I loved the elderflower spritz called a Hugo.) Accessibility-wise, we were met by a valet who carried in our bags. There is a standard-sized elevator on the ground floor. Self-parking was a white-knuckle affair for us, but we were rewarded with an excellent lunch & beer at a cafe directly next to the parking lot. Noto is so lovely and we had our best dining experiences here. "

Fabulous holiday base with amazing pool
"Francesco greeted us on our arrival and together with his wife Ilaria, were always very amenable. We loved having the beautiful pool all to ourselves and though there are many other things available to us to use, we used the pool and table tennis as the weather was so hot. Plenty of seating and dining areas, with the upstairs balconies giving you stunning panoramic views of the area and mountains. All the bedrooms are air conditioned which was a blessing given the temperatures. The villa is a traditional basic setup and we were able to prepare beautiful meals (well my son and daughter-in-law did!) using locally bought produce. He even made traditional Sicilian pizza! The villa is able to accommodate 9 due to the bunk beds in each bedroom but we didn’t need them. An excellent villa for all families, young and old. We went out for a few excursions though couldn’t wait to get back and jump in the gorgeous pool. Francesco cleans the pool daily and his wife Ilaria is on hand if you need anything. I would highly recommend Villa Ludovica to anyone."
