San Mauro Castelverde Holidays from NZ$939

Alloggio della Posta Vecchia has a lot of charm, but it comes with a few challenges. The townhouse itself is lovely and well decorated, and our room was beautiful—full of character and very inviting. The web photos are just as it really looks. The surrounding area is lively, with plenty of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. However, getting there was tricky. The streets are narrow and the area busy, making it hard to find. Our host directed us, but the language barrier meant we didn’t fully understand the instructions. Also, be prepared for lots of stairs and uphill walking, so this is not a good choice for anyone with mobility issues. In short: gorgeous and atmospheric, but best for agile travelers who don’t mind a bit of a search to find it.

I would say it was ok for one night. For the price it was a bit expensive. Can’t say I would go back.

Really enjoyed my stay! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. It felt like an oasis off the main street with a very nice breakfast and coffee made to order. Theres a cafe, Borsa, next to the hotel which is great for a snack, especially the pistachio croissants that were amazing.

The hotel is in a great location. The directions for how to drive to it could perhaps be clarified a bit, with some more specificity on where to arrive close to the hotel. The staff were fantastic. Friendly and extremely helpful. Excellent breakfast, and we were able to party in the lounge with our friends (traveling companions). A truly delightful hotel in a bustling part of town!
