The location to the Bay is exceptional. If you get a chance to face the ocean, it's worth the additional expense.

The staff greeted me warmly when I checked in and throughout my stay. The room was well stocked with towels, a mini fridge, a microwave, a seating area for eating, and ample places to store luggage. The ice machine worked and was in a convenient location. The parking was well spaced and on the property. I would stay at this location again.

The staff who checked us in were warm and friendly. It is a cozy room with a mini fridge and microwave. The towels were plentiful and there was lots of room to store our luggage. I would definitely stay here again.

There is NO AC in the rooms!!! This is a hard no for me and if I read the reviews sooner, I wouldnt have stayed here. It was super hot in the rooms, which forced us to sleep with the patio door open. The issue with that was the noise. Every time someone checked in at the front desk, you could hear the employee talking loudly explaining the property to them. The rooms were small. Everything was tight. Breakfast was decent. The AC is a deal breaker for me. Wont stay in again.

Needed a new mattress.
The hotel was nice and staff also very nice. The mattress on the bed however needs to be replaced. It sunk in quite a bit where people sit on the edge. My husband was very uncomfortable. My but and hips sunk in so wasn't quite as bad for me but it was very awkward. Also it was summer and we could have really used an air conditioner.

The room was very dark and much more dated than it appeared in the website photos. I could hear noise from other guests (in their rooms as well as the public area on the first floor) at all hours of the night.

Best Western, San Marcos Inn was a great place to stay while we visited Morro Bay and Hearst Castle. From its many ammenties such as the free breakfast to its proximity to Morro Bay shops, restaurants and grocery stores, we were able to do multiple activities without having to travel far. The staff we very friendly, courteous and professional as well as able to help us with various needs. I would not only recommend this place to others, i would also rerurn here on our next visit!! Thanks Best Western staff!!

The parking is absolutely terrible. There are spaces for several cars in the carports, but it's such tight quarters you're better off parking on the street. There are a half dozen spaces in the open, if you're fortunate enough to get there first. The good news is parking on the street is safe as I've not heard of any recent problems.

Perfect hotel near Morro Rock
Excellent property one block from Morro Rock. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The room was large and very clean. Refrigerator was also clean and worked well. The hot tub was very spacious and clean. Overlooked Morro rock. Breakfast was hot and had many options. Many restaurants within walking distance. We will definitely stay here again!

Great location, just 2 minutes walk from the sea. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Really good breakfast included in our stay. The spa/hot tub area of hotel was an added bonus.

The people are very friendly at BW San Marcos Inn in Morro Bay. If you call them directly, you can get assistance for many of your questions. They run a tight ship and keep things in good order, and respond promptly.
